I wonder if "connectivity" will find its place of honor in the threads of urbanohio.com along side "world class signage"

UrbanOhio.com 2009 Donations - Please Read!
I just set up a paypal account ( I know, welcome to the year 2000) Anyways, do I send it as a cash advance, or as a payment? It looks like it will take a couple of days for my account to be registered, so the donation will come then.

honestly, is there much of a difference between a paid ad pushing the "connectivity" of TC and the "reporting" done by the PD?

SuperKid, where did you think Voinovich park was?

Yeah, but I wouldn't mind the north coast transportion center linking with the CC. You know, because the most important thing is connectivity

Little trick for people with cell phones. You can text google (GOOGLE=466453) and if you know the flight number say American Airlines flight 666 you would text aa 666 and it would text back all updated info on the flight, such as delays. It also works if you need addresses or phone numbers of places. Text help to GOOGLE and it will tell you everything you need to know.

Could the red line be connected to the CC from Tower City and then rejoin on its current path? Just a crazy, speculative question.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Thanks for the pic. Im in New Orleans still. I wanted to come back to Chicago and Cleveland for St Pat's parades, but I blew my travel budget on booze over Carnival down here.

I am sure they can parse it to seperate government work from the private. For instance, the money could be used for the public Mall B and C, which is not part of the convention center, but would have to be rebuilt after construction.

I saw the other day that DDR is just getting raked over the coals in the stock market. The new worth of the Wolstien family must have plummetted. While I genuinely feel for the Wolstiens, I think they have done Cleveland well over the past decade, the CC should be at the mall. I hope the Port and the county do everything they can to help the project, short of building the CC there.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
I found this link in the comments section from the Chicago Reader article mentioned earlier in the thread. MAYDAY, DID YOU LET US KNOW ABOUT THIS!??!!! If you want a super concentrated jolt of Cleveland Love check out this link, and go to CLE 2006! www.tcscm.org I copied the entire letter below: Chuck Clark February 25th - 7:55 p.m. You've discovered one of the great gems in Cleveland. Some Chicagoians joined an international group of travelers in 2006 for an art & architecture tour of Cleveland...frankly, we were blown away by so many great things in Cleveland...including the West Side Market. There is an excellent summary and tons of historical information regarding our visit at: www.tcscm.org. (Click on the "Cleveland 2006" link.) FYI: The 20th Century Society organized a trip to Chicago last fall. Our family has visited Cleveland every year since then. It's only about a 6 hour drive from Chicago, and can make for a very affordable vacation.

I understand your reluctance to introduce more developable land into an environment that really does not need more, however, we have developed North Coast Harbor with probably our best asset, the Rock Hall and our most expensive asset, the stadium. I'm not asking for 1/2 or even 1/3 just something Avenue development sized. Move the terminal to the east end of the airport, towards E. 55th and open as much land on the northwest corner while still maintaining airport operations. Anyways, I doubt it will happen within the next 20 years, so all I am doing in speculating.

I am actually surprised by the cleveland.bomb comments on Litt's article. BTW, I am sure the Army Corps of Engineers will say, "Sure, straighten the river. Time to review, screw it, just go ahead and do it." IF Tower City is selected when will the MM be ready, 3 years from now or longer? At the mall they could be in business in 12 months. Case closed.

Isn't it kind of the same as Bob and Betty Smith deciding to buy one house vs. another. So, the person whose house was not purchased has a right to sue Bob and Betty? Or is there something else?

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson lukewarm on proposed site for a medical mart Posted by jmorona January 26, 2009 09:53AM CLEVELAND — Mayor Frank Jackson has concerns about the city-owned site chosen for a new medical mart and convention center project. This morning, Jackson called all City Council members to his office to share his reservations about the site, which includes the city's existing convention center... http://www.cleveland.com/news/index.ssf/2009/01/cleveland_mayor_shares_concern.html Mayor Jackson made his case to the city council, they still voted unanimously to back the Mall site. Mayor Jackson even tried a last ditch effort during the meeting to stop it. The Cuyahoga County commissioners are on board, city council is on board, the only one trying to hold up the process is Mayor Jackson. Why? On the whole, I like Mayor Jackson. But this episode has shown that when it comes to the well being of the community vs. the well being of FCE, Forest City wins.
