  1. ^I love that barometer for the strength of the neighborhood. Lets hope it does well.

That all Clevelanders would be the city's biggest supporters and braggers. Never hearing a Clevelander putting the city down again.
  3. Just as a review for the terminal tower, is the rehabbed portion of the tower cased in plastic?

Don't forget that Euclid is home to the East Side Irish American Club

^^Name one block of Euclid that does not have a sidewalk, or sewers
  6. I WANT MY GREENSPACE, er DRIVEWAY! just kidding Thanks for the shots Mayday, they may wind up in Cleveland Memory some day
  7. ^^^Does it mean that you check in at Hopkins, board the planed, stop at Newark, pick up some more passengers, then you are on your way? No getting off of the plane. That is at least the way I read it.

Fun Fact #2: It was named Euclid because the surveyors from Connecticut that stayed in the Western Reserve Chose this area to live. They named it after a hero of surveying, Euclid.
  9. Well, this is completely anecdotal, but the Cultural Gardens recently expanded with the addition of Asian Indians. So there is a newer community that seems determined to contribute to Cleveland.
  10. And so the murderous rage begins.... When was that Forbes list published?

Hey hey hey, easy on my hometown. Euclid Fun fact: The Euclid Creek reservation was the first park of what would later become the metroparks.
  12. That's a nightmarish thought. Take one of the city's most beautiful buildings and poke a gerbil tube into its facade OH HELL NO! Chicago has much worse weather. If this is the plan, I hope it never gets built.
  13. Musky, Public Hall is part of the current convention center, along with the Music Hall. (Wait, is music hall the right name?)
  14. Hey Mayday, is there a lot of water coming up with the excavated soil, or did it just rain?
  15. Sherwin Williams was there before the terminal tower was built. They ain't going anywhere.
  16. What about the 1% sales tax Cuyahoga county pays to subsudize the RTA? Would other counties be willing to contribute as much?
  17. Mayday, thanks again for being a voice of reason
  18. ^yeah, obviously Regina Brett and Dick Feagler have slacked off talking trash about the city to other publications.
  19. Could it just be as simple as the purchase price for the property acquisition is still being negotiated, so it is not being included?
  20. I wonder if this is the first time the FEB if devoid of buidings since the time of Lorenzo Carter.
  21. Maybe move it to urban bar? In my 29++++ years most of the developments have been downtown or outerbelt related. I can't recall developments like uptown. It was just a few years ago that the Pinnacle building was the most exiting thing going on in the Cleveburg.
  22. I am a supporter of the current site, but I am happy Forest City is at least playing ball. Originally they seemed to think that the county owed them the convention center, so the change of tune is nice. BTW, I understand Cleveland does not equal Chicago, but I am at my place in the south loop, looking at McCormick place, and I think it works just fine. A midtown CC would not be the worst thing. It would be light years better than the IX center's location.
  23. I think Stauff's/Cup O Joe really has held its own against starbucks. I am glad to see the donwtown Cleveland stores are doing well enough to stay open
  24. Well, after this article Kucinich became mayor, the city went into default....
