Well, this is completely anecdotal, but the Cultural Gardens recently expanded with the addition of Asian Indians. So there is a newer community that seems determined to contribute to Cleveland.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
That's a nightmarish thought. Take one of the city's most beautiful buildings and poke a gerbil tube into its facade OH HELL NO! Chicago has much worse weather. If this is the plan, I hope it never gets built.

Cleveland: Development, Now & Then
Maybe move it to urban bar? In my 29++++ years most of the developments have been downtown or outerbelt related. I can't recall developments like uptown. It was just a few years ago that the Pinnacle building was the most exiting thing going on in the Cleveburg.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I am a supporter of the current site, but I am happy Forest City is at least playing ball. Originally they seemed to think that the county owed them the convention center, so the change of tune is nice. BTW, I understand Cleveland does not equal Chicago, but I am at my place in the south loop, looking at McCormick place, and I think it works just fine. A midtown CC would not be the worst thing. It would be light years better than the IX center's location.
