Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Well, there is talk that if the health line is successful Mayor Daley wants one to go down Michigan Avenue to bolster the cities 2016 Olympic bid. Yes, just a rumor. But I was told this by many of my bar regulars/friends who either work for the city and the 2016 campaign. Many of them volunteered that info after the article was published, since they know of my unabashed Cleveland love.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
By the way, the Chicago Tribune article about the healthline was the headline of the front page!!! It was nice to see Chicago saying it needed to be more like Cleveland.

North Collinwood
I grew up in Euclid, and I know the area. For the most part, it is a great area, but there are patches that are a bit sketchy. Generally on the east side, the closer you are to the lake "North of the Boulevard" you will be OK. Grovewood is also for the most part a good area.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
^^Probably because a lot of projects in the county start of costing one amount and wind up costing a whole lot more. The Rock Hall was supposed to cost about $5million, and wound up costing near $100MM. The commisioners set a ceiling on the amount of public money to be used and they are sticking to it. I think that is a good thing.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Good news, they would not hire a Cuyahoga county admin if they were looking somewhere else. http://blog.cleveland.com/plaindealer/2008/06/county_administrator_to_take_m.html County administrator to take Medical Mart job Posted by Sarah Hollander June 30, 2008 14:50PM Dennis Madden Cuyahoga County Administrator Dennis Madden is leaving the county to head up the medical mart effort for Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. The Chicago-based company will eventually build and operate Cleveland's new convention center and medical mart. "They'll use my experience to help keep the momentum going on the project," Madden said.

Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
MY vote is the lobby court at the Renaissance. If you sit at the bar, be sure to sit on the far side from the entrance. That side is elevated, so you can belly up in these luxuriously large chairs, rather than bar stools.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
So cue the Pollyanna picture What strategies can I, or we, persue to put lakefront development higher on the regional adgenda? Do we go to elected officials, or lobby groups such as the Cleveland Foundation or even Cleveland Public Art?

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Mods if there is an appropriate thread for this, please combine. I could not find one. With all of the good news about developments that appear to be happening, such as FEB, Pesht, Jacob's Public Square, everything going on in UC, it will be the biggest building boom in the city. Have we yet again ignored the lake? What potential developments could connect the city to the lake? The convention center pops to mind. There is also the port relocation. Is there anything else? Will future generations look back at this time and curse us idiots for ignoring the lake? Those fears aside, how do we leverage the knowledge and connections of the members of this board to bring lakefront development to the front burner. Or is it there already?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
^Part of me agrees with a bit of disapoointment on the scale of the project, but if this tower is built along with what we call Pesht it will really fill up a hole in the heart of the city. Just wondering, how will this building interact with the 55Public Square building

Clinton v. Obama
Well, I guess it explains why she is so determined to be Obama's running mate.... Hillary Clinton's colossal blunder simply the last straw Michaael Goodwin Saturday, May 24th 2008, 4:00 AM Neel/AP SICK. Disgusting. And yet revealing. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in the event some nut kills Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton apologized Friday after citing the June 1968 assassination of Robert F.
