^ I just read an article saying that the CMA was running over budget, but contibutors were stepping up to cover the gap. I just hope that what is good for the CMA is not bad for MOCA
  2. According to weather.com it is 65 and partly sunny. Kind of perfect, especially compared to last year
  3. It is a nice little mircohood
  4. Only on urban ohio would I get a scale model, thanks MayDay. I would have answered it, "yeah, about the same height"
  5. Can anyone guess how building "7a" the 20 story building will look in comparison to the National Terminals building?
  6. bats.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/10/04/cleveland-is-like-trendy here you go
  7. Maybe I am brainwashed because I think a $500M mixed use development with a quarter mile public boardwalk, 500 new residences, a new full service grocery store, movie theaters, restaurants, a public park/festival grounds and a retained fortune 500 company's headquarters in the place of a decaying and abandoned entertainment district is a good thing. (yes, I know it is a run on sentence)
  8. ^Do you have similar concerns about Stonebridge?
  9. You know, I hope Forest City is seeing this. That same project could have been done at Scranton Penn. years ago
  10. What does the group think about the Eaton massings? Does this relieve the "campus" fear?
  11. Anyone know if the lofts in the Arena district in Columbus a combo condo and hotel?

I am not a Clinton supporter, but one thing I will give her credit for is the fact that she recognized how her husband was viewed by the military. In her career in the Senate she has worked very hard to work with the top brass to have a better relationship. From all accounts, it has worked.
  13. every fourth shot of whiskey free
  14. Fourth Fest the week of July 4th -including the Orchestra day at Tower City
  15. North Avenue in Chicago has a Crate & Barrell, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, a former Expo design center, and a few local furniture showrooms. They also have a mix of retail, apparel, electronics, etc. Maybe that is what this study is saying, anchor it with furniture stores, but mix in all retail around it.
  16. But, public input does not necessarily need to be hosted by the county. If Cleveland Public Art, or Levin College at CSU held a forum and many people participated, then the county would hear about it. (Not to put CPA or CSU on the spot, but I think they actually did do something like this when Campbell was mayor.)

Did the brass door restaurant become Brooks Brothers?
  18. What is the story of the parade. For the life of me, I can not find it on the historical society's website
  19. Nice summary 8Shades
  20. I am not exactly sure. It will not be part of the business. I used to work at Treehouse, so each time I go home, I'll swing by and get an update. When I was home last time, about a month ago, most everything was done, except for the bathroom walls and floor. It will be a mosaic from the same artist who did the mosaic for the bike tunnel between the neighborhood and edgewater. It should be open soon.
  21. The owner just wants everything perfect before it opens. There is still a floor/artwork that needs to go in downstairs, and a few other things. It should be open by June, hopefully earlier.
  22. IIRC, Sherwin was there before the terminal tower was built, and it was thier original building. If the Van Swerigans (?sp) could not get the land from them, I doubt the Ratners can.

Are the superdelegates listening? Will the Democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? My thought, since Super Tuesday and the Clinton campaign shake up was that Hillary knew she could not get the nomination. So she would try to wound Obama so much that he would lose the general election, then in four years, she could run again. Otherwise, she would have to wait at least eight if not 12 years, possibly more.
