  1. ^you would not mind if the cultural gardens became underwater exhibits?
  2. As far as I know, the major streets (St. Clair, West 3rd, etc) won't be narrowed but Frankfort might. And sidewalks might be widened at some locations. If that has been shared with you, do you know if a narrowed Frankfort act like an E.4th st. for the development?
  3. It will be Crocker Park on steroids Easton? :|
  4. We weren't stuck sitting on the edge of our seats for years waiting for SOMETHING to show signs of life Well, you know MRN has been assembling this property for about 12 years, so it is not exactly an over night success. Sometimes the best developments require patience. :-)
  5. I just hope he is not the second coming of Ryan Leaf

How long will your company put you up in temporary living? Just as a practical matter, I would try to take as much time and try to spend a day or evening in some of the areas mentioned. My personal favorite is the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood, just west to Ohio City along the lake. (you can look up treads containing W. 65th, Battery Park or Gordon Square as they are sub neighborhoods of Detroit Shoreway to get the vibe of the area) I agree with you about commuting to work. Currently I live in Chicago, I recently moved from a north side neighborhood to downtown and shaved 40 minutes from my hour and a half commute. But, I have to say it was a mistake, I would rather drive the extra time and live in a place I love. (KJP, I tried commuting via transit, due to the particular location of this plant it is a 3+hour travel time)
  16. ^Yeah, that is what is lacking at CSU, concrete ;)
  17. I wonder how much new construction for the MM would cost, if the current convention center is selected as the site.

Wellington...that is about an hour or more from Cleveland. I had to look it up on Google maps because I was not familiar. You may want to look into the city of Oberlin. It is a smaller city, but it home to one of the most liberal colleges in the nation. There is a small college town feel to the place. It is worth a look, since it is close to where you will work. If you are willing to make the commute, please check out the other threads on this page to learn more about areas of the city. If you still have questions, please post them here and we will be happy to assist. :) Also, what brings you to the Cleveland area?
  19. In this case, the ability to put as much of the cost on the landlord might be aided by whether the landlord wants to avoid tarnishing its public image by being seen as obstructing a major public project. A Forest City spokesman said the company was not prepared to talk about the project.
  20. Looks like there is a good article in crains with Tim Hagan saying "whoever" the devoper is for the CC, they will have to make significant consessions. :) Requesting a posting of the article please :)

^^Mayday, too bad they did not interview you about the burning river
  23. KJP, I know I asked this before, but do you remember the "railbus". What was that all about?
  24. ^Maybe not, remember it is a county wide vote, and I think people realize the potential of the medical field in Cleveland. I am actually glad people are trying, but I hope that they do not get enough signatures because people decide not to sign. Which is a very passive type of vote.
