I paper archive all of my son's emails, cut them out in creative shapes, and paste them in my binders.” Anna-Christina D., Lifecoach “I've always felt uneasy about the whole internet thing. With the help of Gmail Paper, now I'm taking matters back into my own hands, literally.” Kevin S., CEO AdventaStar Inc. I had one message with two labels, but when I tried to stick the paper version into two filing cabinets at the same time, it just wouldn’t go." Mayumi M., Associate "It's paper, plain and easy. I sometimes find myself wondering: what will Google think of next? Cardboard?" Bill K., Armchair Futurist

9. One healthcare business model is to have small that do not charge a lot for people to be seen by either a nurse or a doctor for relatively minor things like a cold or a sprain. They were popular in MS when I was down there, and I know wal-mart is starting to build them. Generally you can be seen for $30. I wonder if the clinic is going to start something like this, before people like Wal-mart move in. BTW, I loved the clinics down in MS. Show up, pay $30, get anti-biotics, ect.
10. it was on the news here in Chicago. They said #1 was detroit and #2 was New Orleans
11. So Cuyahoga is #4 for population percentage loss....guess which is #3? Cook county in Illinois. No one is worried that Chicago is dying, so lets not get too worried it. The problem of exurbia isn't new.

from the GCP website Greater Cleveland Partnership shows how a catalyst can help transform Northeast Ohio's economy Cleveland, March 20, 2007 -The Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP), an economic development organization representing more than 17,700 businesses and employers in Northeast Ohio, today detailed its successes and its role in the region's economic recovery at its annual meeting. Symbolized by the star in GCP's logo depicting a spark, the meeting focused on GCP as a catalyst for building a stronger Cleveland and stronger Northeast Ohio... The Greater Cleveland Partnership is involved in many areas of economic development, sometimes making it a challenge to describe our role and impact, said GCP Chairman Frederick R. Nance, regional managing partner of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey. This meeting was an opportunity to highlight our achievements to our members and to the community. The Board of Directors of the Greater Cleveland Partnership realizes that while much more work is still needed to transition the region's economy, the formation of the Greater Cleveland Partnership three years ago has helped accelerate our recovery. The Greater Cleveland Partnership was created through a merger of economic development organizations in 2004 to help the region's business community use its most precious resources-time and funds-efficiently and effectively. Serving as a catalyst, the Greater Cleveland Partnership seeks to create jobs and economic vitality by focusing on physical development; innovation and technology; business attraction, retention and expansion; and education and workforce development. More than 400 Northeast Ohio community leaders, elected officials, and representatives from GCP member companies attended the meeting on the stage of the State Theatre, Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. A presentation from Nance featured several storytellers who interjected personal anecdotes illustrating the importance of the GCP initiatives described during the keynote address. Storytellers included: Melissa Ajamie, a young professional from Akron who was raised by her deaf grandparents, explained how the types of jobs available in a region have the potential to attract workers. Andrew Banks, a minority business owner in Cleveland who, along with GCP, is helping other minority business owners in Northeast Ohio to strengthen their businesses and create jobs. Lisa Logan, owner of Logan Clutch, a small manufacturer whose growth is closely linked to its relationship with GCP's small business affiliate, the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE). Other storytellers where Les Vinney, president and CEO of Steris Corp. and chairman of NorTech; Peter Lawson Jones, Cuyahoga County Commissioner; Deborah Sutherland, mayor of the City of Bay Village; Scott Wolstein, CEO and chairman of Developers Diversified Realty Corp.; and Tom Schorgl, president and CEO of Community Partnership for Arts and Culture.

Unveiled at the meeting and available on GCP's website-www.gcpartnership.com:A Catalyst for Change video: The seven-minute video, which explains GCP's role in Northeast Ohio economic development, is hosted by News Channel 5's Leon Bibb and features Woodrow Whitlow, director of NASA Glenn Research Center; Stephanie McHenry, president of Shorebank Cleveland; David Abbott, executive director of the George Gund Foundation; Congressman Steve LaTourette; and Jack Schron, president of Jergens Inc. 2007-2008 Public Policy Agenda: A new focus on the environment and energy, as well as urban issues, is included in the agenda that will guide GCP's advocacy efforts over the next two years. Also presented at the meeting was an update on the Greater Cleveland Marketing Alliance's efforts to create a sustained marketing campaign aimed at attracting tourists, businesses, young professionals and others to visit, live and do business in Northeast Ohio. A current list of companies and organizations contributing to the annual $2.5 million fundraising goal was announced. Contributors are: Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Cleveland, Cleveland Clinic, Eaton Corp., Forest City Enterprises, Greater Cleveland Partnership, KeyCorp, Medical Mutual of Ohio, National City Corp., Parker Hannifin, RPM International, Sherwin-Williams, Squires Sanders & Dempsey LLC, Team NEO, and University Hospitals. The Greater Cleveland Partnership, the primary voice for businesses in Greater Cleveland, seeks to create jobs and improve the economic vitality of the region. Its priorities include technology, innovation and high-growth businesses; connected physical development; education and workforce development; and business attraction, retention and expansion. 13. ^ I posted in the random section that Argo-tech's campus in for sale in Euclid. It is massive and it used to house TRW's HQ. While I want a new office tower downtown, I would not be upset if Eaton redeveloped the Argo-Tech's campus.

****Jerk Alert****** While I love the pictures...one bone of contention. It is something that erks me. St. Paddy's day, not St. Patty's day. Patty is a girl, Paddy is a boy. Please don't give me a two month time out, PLEASE. If you get really mad think of how all of those firemen marching in the parade will fill you with civic pride. :-D P.S. Don't get me started on green beer! *******Jerk alert has ended***********************

20. ^In that spirit For people who have gone there, and I realize that this is purely opinion, but does the design of the stores/lightposts/signs work with the steelmills across the way, or is it just cheesy flim-flam?
21. Theguv got to it first Beer has natural carbonation, yeast eats sugar and poops out booze and CO2. Think of a cask as a hand pump on a keg. I believe brewers perfer cask vs. traditional CO2 or Beer Gas because the gas delivery system will dissolve gas into the beer, thus changing the character of the beer. For instance, Guinness needs a nitrogen/CO2 mix to pour correctly and taste right. The first part of this message is fact....the second part is speculation
