Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail
I agree with wimwar, especially if the East bank project is finished at the same time. Does anyone (OK, KJP do you know) if the waterfront line will cut across this new park?

Cleveland: Office Max News & Info
I think it might have been a bit of sour grapes on Ronayne's part. And you know what, more power to him! I hope it makes those guys squirm a little bit. The next time a company is thinking of relocating outside of the city, this could be a trump card. But really, it just made my immature emotional vindictive side all gleefull

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
Hey Ohio city residents, help me out here. What are the current borders of gentrification of the OC? I used to live on W. 44th, near John in 2001, and to me that seemed to be the outer edge of the W. 25th zone. Has it spread? Will this development help, or does it just connect to the west side little Italy area? I probably did not phrase that correctly, but I just wonder what impact this will have on the overall area. I said earlier that the Treehouse guys are opening a tavern near there, because of the development. They think the area will take off like Tremont did.

Fire on West 25th?

Cincinnati: West Chester - Ikea Coming to Union Centre
^That is the story I heard, but I also had heard that IKEA wanted to go there. I think they were right to keep out big box retail from that area. I would still like to see IKEA in the area

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Shouldn't your downtown be filled with attractions that you can't get in your neighborhood. Chicago has the magnificent mile, rush street, the new millenium park etc attractions that tourists, suburbanites and people from surrounding neighborhoods go downtown to enjoy. Maybe I am missing your point, but I think a healthy downtown has if filled with attractions, especially on its main street.

Quicken Loans expanding to Cleveland
I missed your post about Chase, KJP. That really is great news, maybe other corporations will take note. Back when ESPN Zones were a big deal, I thought May Co would be perfect, a public square entrance and a (close to) Gateway entrance.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
I think it was constructed in the 50's. It is the large barge that was docked next to the Rock Hall. It is being moved to the other side of North Coast Harbor, to improve the view of the lake for NCH visitors

Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
Is there some sort of height restriction for buildings next to the arcade? I just noticed that the BP garage and the 515 garage are the same height as the arcade. Maybe that is why the tower is offset. Just a thought
-
Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
Wow, it actually sounds like this tower might actually get built

Cleveland: Cleveland Clinic News & Info
I was reading the Sunday New York Times (die yuppie scum..oh wait, that is me) and I saw an ad for the Clinic with a phone number for out of state patients. I am not saying down the road there may be abandonment issues, but for now, and as long as the $300M heart center is modern, I think spreading the good news about the Clinic can only be a blessing for Cleveland. Our city can be branded as the home of the Rock Hall and the best hospital in the world. Not a bad place to live!
