DFAS Cleveland
This is great news. Now if the city/state/federal/county government could come together on more issues. I have to say, Ohio's elected officials came together for this one - now lets keep the ball rolling! Where is Tubbs? Where is Kucinich? Where is Taft (oh wait, C-bus would have gotten the jobs) Campbell, at least, had a rally, and fought when it seemed doomed. not exactly a save the Browns rally, but a rally none the less

Cleveland: 2005 Mayoral Election
I am from Euclid. David Lynch's political career took a nose dive after it was discovered that he was approved for a 0% loan from the city of Euclid (or the employee credit union) to buy his home. There was an investigation, and he apologized, but no prosecution. Before then, the local Republican party was looking at him to be a county commisioner Funny they did not mention that in the article.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
I know American Pete from Treehouse recently bought a bar near there, he said it would take him about a year to get it to where he would like it. It will be on par with the Treehouse, maybe smaller

3 Dog Pat replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionOK, a bit of an oops, I read the cached version that was listed as this week, but actually the article was from October 2003. I think this is some shopping center industry mag. http://www.icsc.org/srch/sct/sct1003/page58.php?region=

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
in '97 my brother bought a house on W. 67th near Fr. Carouso across from this development. He paid less than $20K, sunk about $25K into it. Sold it for $180,000 in 2003. I always wondered when that area would explode

Did you know that Tim Horton's was owned by Columbus based Wendy's?
I figured they were connected, around Ohio State Tim Hortons took over a bunch of Wendy's places, or shared the same building (N. Campus)

Cleveland: 2005 Mayoral Election
I think the challangers have not raised a whole heck of a lot of money, so there will not be many comercials until closer to the race. And you know, the more TV ad time you buy on local channels, the more puff pieces you get on the local news. (cynical....)

Intel imagines wireless Cleveland
You know for as much as I have whined about the quiet crisis....and to use a sports analogy in our sports crazy town....Its like the Quiet Crisis came out to signal it was the two minute warning for our community. Since then it seems like we have been able accomplish more than we could have ever hoped. Do you think back in 1999 (dot com heaven) in a few years we would be considered one of the top digital cities in the nation, maybe the world? stepping off the soapbox...
