  1. Since there is more supply a better year to year comparison would be how many rooms booked from one year to the next
  2. ^from the first post in this thread, for comparison
  3. Just to plat devil's advocate, while the property is very lifestyle center / Crocker Park like, FEB has the advantage of being the best of both Easton and heart of the city living. If you live in Crocker Park and want to leave you have to drive. In FEB you could drive, you could walk, you could take the waterfront line, you could take a water taxi away from your nest
  4. From our Canadian friends http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/rust-belt-revival-lessons-for-southwestern-ontario-from-americas-industrial-heartland/article22489159/ When he finally sits down, Cleveland’s leading urbanologist makes the passionate case for why Rust Belt cities like his – for all the economic pain they’ve suffered, people they’ve lost to more prosperous places, jokes made at their expense – are where the future is.

Has that Subway had the same owner for years? If so, I kind of feel for him. Great news none the less. Great Scott looks like a great addition to the restaurant cluster there around Beach Club Bistro
  6. Houston does not have suburbs, think Columbus on steroids. Its suburbs and exurbs are within the city limits. It's a horrible, horrible, horrible place. I took a HUGE pay cut to leave Houston for New Orleans, but the quality of life made it a no brainer. http://www.texasmonthly.com/daily-post/if-you-needed-it-further-proof-houston-so-much-bigger-most-cities
  7. As long as they don't screw with the Bier Stube, I'm good

  10. Looks like they they intend to visually extend E. 4th street all the way to the Arena.
  11. Let's stay on topic, I believe there is already an Uber thread Thanks
  12. I remember when the Saints were in the Super Bowl, the NFL leaned on the city and the Saints not to have large watch parties, simply for the ratings reason. The hotel I worked at was going to have a large viewing party...and quietly cancelled those plans. Another tid bit, is that the price for NFL / Direct TV package to bars is dependant on the fire occupancy of the bar. So if your bar had an occupancy of 101 you would pay roughly double than if you had an occupancy of 99. I bet the NFL uses that as part of the ratings calculation
  13. Is there a precident for a CDC to sponsor service? Something like if RTA had dedicated frequent service service from say Downtown to Waterloo on Weekend nights, the CDC would cover the costs of the service minus any fares that RTA would receive? Is that even a viable idea?
  14. They want to extend the fan base, by having the Browns train in CBus, the fans will likely be better fans
  15. That article was from 2010, the CLEVE may have gone up a notch or two since then in their books

  17. My guess for why they lost was how integral they were to get this $25MM award started. If they had won, the rest of the state would likely cry foul.
  18. If anyone is coming down to the Sugar Bowl, give me a ring. There are tons of of Alumni & fans events the days prior to the game, and a few other fun things to do in New Orleans
  19. Kenton is boutique and high end, more Plaza than W
  20. So, this project has taken a very long time, but it looks like the quality of the renovation may be worth the wait

  23. Even if IGH pulls out now, they have already done all the heavy lifting to bring the building back to life. In the unlikely event they don't want to run the Schofield, someone else will
