STICKY: Can I change my user name?
I just switched my name - sorry is that screws anyone up. Punch was my nickname in college, when my friends found it hilarious when they discovered I fought in the golden gloves (since I am not much of a bruiser) At a party someone asked me between laughs "What did they call you, Punchin' Pat?" When I answered "yes" the legend was born. Over the past 12 years I have lived in New Orleans, and when people want to differentiate me from other Patricks, they will say "3 dog Patrick" So, time to retire punch, and show off my pups, (l-r) Danny Boy, Jack, and Heather.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
Awesome - thank you. I hadn't known about the potential minority ownership of the Guardians until your article, so thanks for all of it.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
Hey @KJP, would you describe this as one large project, or two separate ones happening at the same time. If Nucleus is truly not for sale, could the Guardians project go forward without it?

Cleveland Planning Commission
Yeah! I have always liked Lillian Kuri

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
Gilbert has had Tower City and the land of Phase II Casino for years, if he buys it, he just may do it so someone else does not develop the area.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
I just want to know did the Pesht project or Nucleus project have more pages on this forum. I hope its the team who built the building next to West Side Market

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
Did it feel more like the Westside Shoreway or more like Clifton / Lake Shore Blvd? Were people speeding or was it calm driving?

Peak Oil
I am surprised the article did not mention how had Hurricane Ida hit offshore oil producing facilities. Shell won't be back to 100% until Spring. https://www.insurancejournal.com/news/national/2021/09/21/633009.htm

That list is a bit….underwhelming

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Pure speculation: I know nothing, nor have I heard anything That said, I think there may be an outside shot Progressive looks at this property. Its in Gateway, the "Guardians" is less problematic to be associated with than the "Indians" and a few years ago they moved a very small group to the warehouse district.

@KJP any rumors on what may go into the UCC building? It is housing, or a "boutique" office building for medium sized company, or a division for a larger company?

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
It's not a simple garage, it's a world class welcome center

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I wonder if they’re announcing us now to try to get some infrastructure money to solidify the river banks. If I recall correctly that has been the issue holding back development

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I don't think Bedrock own's that property, so this is just a "vision" more than a proposal.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Thanks for doing this! I was wondering if it would block the other buildings, and I am still hoping it looks bigger, like the courthouse does, due to being closer to the river. But, I am happy this beauty shot only gets better

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I am guessing it will have a dramatic effect on this beauty shot (borrowed from clevelandskyscrapers.com)

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Did they mention or discuss the skybridge?

Regarding the idea of a small building on the Jacob's lot, could it create a symmetry with the Sohio building? Maybe @w28th can school me here on the architectual principles. The tower section of the building is not built right on Public Square, but almost a block back. I know the proposed SW tower is a full block back, and not connected, but could it give the illusion of the same idea of the Sohio / BP / .../ Huntington Bank building?

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
What was the reason they did not do it when Tower City opened in 1990 (which seems like just a few years ago because now I am old)? Something about fume exhaust, or station ceiling height or something?
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
@Geowizical or anyone... If you took a line and connected the 3 SW buildings and extended it, would it connect to the top of the Sohio / BP Building?
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
This is going to sound trite, but I think the city needs to concentrate more on how the city looks from the sidewalk, rather than a blimp. I am just happy for the density, and will consider this a failure or success based on how well it interacts with the street.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
@KJP - what is your sense of the feasibilty of a Tower City rapid station entrance being built within the SW HQ footprint?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I think it's significant that the Browns almost lost, rather than finding a way to lose. I did not have that "I wonder how they are going to lose this game, oh, there it is" feeling that I have had for 10? years.
