  1. OK, thanks
  2. In the original plan W. 65th was one of the 6 intersections
  3. KJP, re: 79th station question Just because it is not currently ADA compliant does that immediately doom it? Is it the only non ADA station in the system? (For the record, I fully support the AllAboardOhio idea for a new station)
  4. I know Stone Mad bought and developed that location with the belief that W. 65th would be connected to the new Shoreway Blvd.
  5. ^Nice!
  6. ^maybe if NYE is a big hit, a summer festival on the Mall could be pulled off
  7. Despite my feelings about the casino to this point, I really don't think anything will be done until the river bulkheads are going to be replaced. The good news is that, from murmurs I have heard, the Army Corps of Engineers may be considering doing it. IF THAT HAPPENS, the whole river will go nuts. The Casino, Scranton Peninsula, the rest of the Flats will be quickly developed.
  8. I just love the Euclid love
  9. ^For this particular instance, #1 It's New Orleans, so no one is in a rush to fix anything #2 it was a U-Hall. It just made me realize that streetcars without dedicated lanes can be less reliable than busses in certain cases.
  10. I suspect Phase II will be build behind tower city right after the Neiman Marcus goes in
  11. Looks like we are drifting off topic. May I suggest continuing the Ohio State conversation in one of the sports team threads? Thanks
  12. ***Paging KJP*** Feasibility wise: Could you do a North Coast transportation center, coupled with a parking garage, magically coupled with a train that could go from the Airport to the NCTC without changing at TC? Could it be done without blocking the views from the CC ballrooms? How much would that all cost?
  13. ^^Generally weekdays
  14. I would recommend following @Mattyglesias for a while. His CLE love drives some people nuts! Its actually fun to watch
  15. ^No, you just love the bus :)
  16. Matt Yglesias is a legendary troller, but he likes the Cleve!
  17. There is parking under Mall A for Key center. I don't think there is any parking under the convention center.
  18. Here is a rendering of the building within the loop from earlier in the thread. I count 6, maybe 7 stories?
  19. Very cool!
  20. Is that the current path of the OC, or an earlier path?
  21. I agree too KJP! Now that the funding is in place, it is time for the "behind the scenes" stakeholders [based on rumor] to show all of their cards.
  22. For what its worth: One of my friends down here in New Orleans used to manage dealers for the WSOP, and travel with them until she had a child. She still stays in contact with them, and I think her husband works for them in some capacity. She said this cancellation is really, really weird. A lot of the workers and players had booked flights already. All they got was a terse e-mail saying "It has been cancelled" One thing I did not know, WSOP is owned by Ceasar's entertainment. They only go to Ceaser's properties, with a few exceptions of casino's that were on the tour before Caesars bought the tour. The only thing she can think of is that someone at the CLE casino, "really, really dropped the ball." IF that is true, and it was not a space issue, there is no reason the tour won't come back in the future. So, that is the good news. The bad news is that when it does come back, a lot of the people who follow this tour may not jump on the chance to come to Cleveland because of this year's cancellation.
  23. ^But it had National Championship implications, and there are a lot of people with ties to Ohio State in the CLE area. In NOLA, LSU football often dominates Times-Picayune coverage, it doesn't mean the Saints are forgotten
  24. ^I don't think facts play a big part of this argument
  25. FWIW, I saw a huge showstopper for streetcar today here in NOLA. A car stalled in the road as I was headed into lunch, it was in the path of the streetcar, and the streetcar was stuck behind it. Now I am guessing in most cities that car would be towed quickly, but in NOLA the line was still blocked after my lunch. I'm guessing BRT would be able to navigate around. As I said, for what it's worth
