Cleveland: Blockland
Here is one reason why people get exited about blockchain. If your industry is vulnerable to hacking (like banking) the idea of "incorruptible data storage" would be appealing. From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain By storing data across its peer-to-peer network, the blockchain eliminates a number of risks that come with data being held centrally.[1] The decentralized blockchain may use ad-hoc message passing and distributed networking. Peer-to-peer blockchain networks lack centralized points of vulnerability that computer crackers can exploit; likewise, it has no central point of failure. Blockchain security methods include the use of public-key cryptography.[4]:5 A public key (a long, random-looking string of numbers) is an address on the blockchain. Value tokens sent across the network are recorded as belonging to that address. A private key is like a password that gives its owner access to their digital assets or the means to otherwise interact with the various capabilities that blockchains now support. Data stored on the blockchain is generally considered incorruptible.[1]

Cleveland: Downtown: New Police Headquarters
Limited locations in the city to accommodate the surface parking needs that the PD has. A parking structure could work for some of the cars but not for all the trailers, trucks, etc. Also, the timeline is critical. County is charging monthly overages as the CPD stays. This 1801 Superior location really made a lot of sense. Bizarre that it seems to be falling apart Putting on my tin-foil conspiracy hat: Is there a Gilbert property that can accommodate CPD headquarters?

My assessment of Darnold vs. Mayfield is not based on an overreaction to one game

Speaking of the Jets, Darnold looked great. He should have been our #1 pick (but time will tell)

Well, according to this article Caesars is partnering with REITs, so real estate would be part of the deal The gambling industry is in the midst of an acquisition wave, thanks in part to the emergence of casino-based real estate investment trusts that allow bidders to pay higher prices for properties. Caesars has considered purchasing Gilbert’s casinos in combination with Vici Properties Inc., a REIT it spun off last year, according to the people. Caesars was Gilbert’s partner in the Cleveland and Cincinnati properties, which operated under the Horseshoe name until he bought out Caesars three years ago. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-09-05/billionaire-gilbert-is-said-to-be-looking-to-cash-out-of-casinos

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I think Rock bought Tower City because it was already going to buy the Ritz Carlton, and did not want a different owner between their casino hotel and casino. My guess is redeveloping the property is not high on their list of priorities. (Warning: snark) I am sure they will get to it right after building Phase II of the casino.

Explain your username
When I was going to Ohio State, my friends found out I was in the golden gloves when I was 16. Someone asked “What did they call you, “Punchin’ Pat?” When I responded “well, yes” people laughed so hard, I’m sure beer came out of people’s nostrils. I guess I’m not all that intimidating. Anywho, for about 10 years more people knew me as “Punchin’” or just “Punch” rather than Patrick. When I signed on urban Ohio all those years ago, I just used that nickname

This was a nice surprise when I was watching the CBS morning show (while horribly late for work) Priceline notes that there is a surge of leisure travel to Cleveland and Detroit, they discuss it about the 3 minute mark https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/news/priceline-ceo-talks-top-destinations-how-booking-travel-has-evolved/vp-AAwJUPo
