  1. A nice write up in Business Week Israeli Biotechs Find Partners in Ohio BioEnterprise, founded by Cleveland hospitals and universities to support biosciences in the region, helps connect the Israeli companies with capital, medical expertise, and management teams in the state. The group helped Simbionix, a medical device maker that now employs 80 people, transfer its headquarters from Israel to Cleveland. The Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center, a partnership backed by the state of Ohio that funds development of health-related products, has invested in five Israeli biotechs, says GCIC director Thomas Sudow. "Israeli companies provide hospitals here the opportunity to work with leading innovators," Sudow says. http://www.businessweek.com/smallbiz/content/nov2010/sb20101117_584843.htm
  2. So will these new shops and such be part of the Tower City mall, or managed seperately?
  3. From the bard who gave life to "Showgirls"? Say it aint so.
  4. The food court was originally designed as a gateway from the mall to the Rock Hall, when the Rock Hall was planned on being in the river. Later they gave a half hearted remodel and changed" Steam Diner" to "Team Diner". The point is, I expect the food court to be remodeled again to serve as the gateway to the casino
  5. Maybe (at first) a storefront in Tower City's mall
  6. Well, I stand corrected. Welcome back, Michelle.
  7. So it sounds like a lot of projects have to get underway by the end of the year in order to claim tax benefits. I think this board will light up between now and Jan. 1
  8. I am not sure if it has been specifically mentioned, at least lately, but I am nearly certain they have the ability to expand northward.
  9. WELCOME MICHELLE!!! Thanks for joining us
  10. ^like bowling!!! ;)
  11. 668 is a residential conversion in downtown that used historic preservation tax credits. It was wildly successful, so obviously there is a market, like a I said before, if it is done right. There are over 200 units in 668 (per Mayday on the skyscraper page :)
  12. I don't agree. If they are done right, there is a market. Look at 668, it completely rented out before it even admitted the first residents.

Being Zsa Zsa just not doing it for you anymore?
  14. About five years after the project was proposed, commissioners approved land purchases, a lease and operation agreement with the county's private partner, Chicago-based MMPI. The board also imposed a 1 percentage point hike in the hotel bed tax to help pay for operations. MMPI also today secured cost guarantees from design-builder Turner Construction Co. Under the agreement, Turner will compete the design and construction for $348 million. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/11/post_396.html Im pretty sure the author wanted to say "complete the design and construction for $348 MM"

:) As to what RnR was saying earlier, for years I did it every other day, and my hair at first would look worse on the "off" days, then about the same, then better on "off" days. I also use Aveda control paste, its kind of like a moulding mud, I think it kind of works like a leave in conditioner. Now, my hair looks all wierd when I actually shampoo, so this morning I did it, so I could look awesomely awesome for my weekend trip back to NOLA.

I shower every morning (sometimes not on Sunday), but I only shampoo once, maybe twice a week. I started doing this after the Seinfeld episode when George noticed that homeless people were rarely bald
  18. Somewhere on this board we talked about a conversion of the EOG building. At the time, I said that it wasn't feasible because condo dwellers want balconies (I am not so sure about that how, but whatever) Then Mayday either posted a picture of a twin of the EOG building undergoing a residential conversion with balconies or created the graphic himself. Either way, it was pretty cool. I've tried to find it with no luck.
  19. ^Quality not quantity. Letter of intent are not the same as a signed lease. I trust MMPI, they know the business. If they know they can rent more space, I am sure expansion plans will be in the works I wonder how many workers will be on site? The MM will help out businesses as soon as next year.
  20. I think it is kind of funny, and now I have to wonder if I know anyone on the HIMYM writing team
  21. Can we continue the knot conversation in the urban bar?
  22. Bridgeview if you are at least one story above the sidewalk, otherwise, 668. The river view is why I am picking Bridgeview
