Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
The last thing the shoreway needs is pedestrian access. I disagree. Do you work for ODOT?

Downtown Cleveland condo search
Buy now with the tax credit!!! Please come back with every "dumb" question about the mortgage process. It seems to be designed to intentionally confuse people.

Was that the same article from the economist a few weeks back, or is that "Cleveland Model" taking off.

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
I think the next time ODOT is called in front of the Cleveland Planning comm. or City Council, someone higher than the project manager for ODOT should testify. I want their answers to be directly tied to the governor, so that maybe we can hear different answers for a change.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
It looks like the lobby, with exhibit halls on either side of the yellow walls. Its a lot like McCormic place in Chicago.

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
^We have had 20 pages of this argument. The choice is do we want to build a 35MPH boulevard with a grassy median, with potential for rapid transit either with the Red line or a new BRT, have environmental cleanup along the path, reconstruct the feeder roads through an area that is over 80% vacant, or do nothing. Three Questions: How does the PD profit from this road being built? How exactly will a 4-6 lane road with a median destroy entire neighborhoods? Has a rebuilt Euclid Avenue done a good job attracting businesses?

Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
OPPORTUNITY OR OPPORTUNISM? http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/opportunity-or-opportunism/Content?oid=1836287 Scene and Roldo drive me nuts. While there are legitimate points brought up in the article, it is mostly (and always) big bad business and big bad government is always at fault. At one point in this article there is a complaint that the roads in the area are crumbling, and that is bad. Later they say if the OC is opened, the feeder streets would have to be rebuilt, which is bad. Another point of the article states that many details have not been nailed down because they are still determining the exact route of the road, then they talk to a person who has been wronged because no one has contacted him directly even though his house is "smack in the middle of the proposed road." I wonder if the author had informed this gentleman about this "smack in the middle" thing, even though the final alignment has not been finalized. :whip: BAH! I miss when the scene was locally owned and had articles written by people who cared about the city. Not petulant punks who are just trying to pad their resume when they go apply for Huffington Post.

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
Shockingly the Cleveland Scene thinks this is the worst idea since the Medical Mart, or the Healthline, or E. 4th, or Gateway..... OPPORTUNITY OR OPPORTUNISM? http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/opportunity-or-opportunism/Content?oid=1836287 I am going to rant about this article and scene in general in the media thread.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
There is talk about putting a park there, in my opinion, this is a leverage tool to convince the owners to sell, otherwise they will use eminent domain for that park.

Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
KJP, what was the history of the intermodal hub? IIRC it was supposed to be a large bus/train/taxi center near where the NCTC is proposed. Was it going to be an RTA facility? How do the plans for the NCTC differ from the intermodal hub? (Thanks in advance)
