I think the strategy point is a legitimate one. I know nothing about policing strategy, but it seems intuitive that police presence would deter crime. This is particularly relavent in areas that are experiencing nascent growth, like downtown, univ. circle, tremont, and ohio city. After getting off work the other day, I saw some mounted police walking around the public square area. Thats a great start!

Didn't know if anyone had seen this, but I received a notice a week and a half ago about a public hearing to discuss a Zaremba group plan (I live right behind CVS/Huntington). It concerns the CVS on the corner of W117th and Clifton. From what I can gather, they are asking to have some codes relaxed to add a mixed use property on that site, it seems that the project would go from W117th all the way to Hird. The docket number is 3-5-08, if anyone wants to look it up.

Hello everyone, I just moved to Cleveland from Columbus, my wife started graduate school at Cleveland State in August and I will be starting at Case on an MBA (part-time) in January. I have 2 years of experience as a loan officer in Cbus, and I am looking to get an entry level position in financial analysis/financial planning. I will be focusing my MBA coursework on finance. Hello everyone, I just moved up here from Columbus, living right near the corner of W 117th and Lake ave. My wife and I are renting an apartment here, and like the area a lot so far. I got the impression it was an up-and-coming area when I checked it out before moving up here. Its a shame about that church on the corner of Lake and W 117th, it is truly a beautiful building. Any news other than what has been mentioned in these threads about it? Also, just to weigh in, City Place has been dark for the past three or four days, I have noticed. Too bad, they had good food.
