  1. Don't forget the dice by his parking garage.
  2. Great idea Ken. The lawyers can easily walk to Tower City and catch the rapid. As well as the public getting there by rapid or bus. Frees up space in the core of downtown for a future tower. Puts a decent sized tower on the outer ring.
  3. Consider the animals that live among us,
  4. The person that came up with this idea should be fired. Then re-hired so he/she can be fired again. I can't imagine anything that could possibly be cheesier. No class.
  5. I want a new scoreboard -- and a new hotel that looks down into the field. I want a new first baseman...Brah
  6. "Welcome to the Westin. Where the aesthetics just don't matter. Inside or out." :wtf:
  7. Also have shallow root systems. Which is a reason they are blown over somewhat easily.
  8. I only found the following hotels available for a check in Friday - Sunday (9/26-9/28) $279 InterContinental Cleveland $375 Renaissance Cleveland Hotel $249 Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center $187 Radisson Hotel Cleveland-Gateway $179 DoubleTree by Hilton Cleveland Downtown $253 InterContinental Suites Hotel Cleveland $170 Hampton Inn Cleveland-Downtown $159 Residence Inn Cleveland Downtown $74 University Hotel & Suites $199 Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Downtown $155 Comfort Inn Downtown Just flat out lazy reporting.
  9. The Huntington Building disagrees.
  10. Here is that report. http://www.19actionnews.com/story/23135792/playhouse-square-transformation-on-schedule
  11. "This should help with some of the erosion to Thistledown and their free parking " The Horseshoe and Thistledown are the same ownership. This has more to do with a preemptive strike with Northfield. That is when the real erosion will take place.
  12. The Ritz only puts aside a certain number of rooms for casino guests. The Ritz is available tonight on hotels.com for $479.
  13. Does anyone have an inside scoop as to what this reinvestment in the Ritz Carlton will include? Is it just lobby renovations, or is there more. I was just thinking how great it would be if they could reopen the Century space... that bar would be a very popular spot for happy hour! http://www.cleveland.com/casino/index.ssf/2012/09/ohio_casino_commission_oks_160.html The new financing package includes $10 million that will be used to renovate two lobbies and a fitness area, said Jennifer Kulczycki, spokeswoman for Rock Gaming. Hopefully this will include a thermostat for the lower lobby. I don't think they ever have the AC on there.
  14. Black Pig restaurant to open Wednesday in Ohio City Restaurant RowPublished: Friday, August 10, 2012, 12:15 PM Updated: Friday, August 10, 2012, 2:37 PM The much-anticipated but often delayed Black Pig restaurant will open Wednesday in Ohio City. "Everything took a little bit longer than the quoted times," says chef-owner Michael Nowak, "but we finally got the call today [Friday, Aug. 10] that we could drive to Columbus for our liquor license – so we're headed there now." After a special Dinner in the Dark fund-raising event on Monday, Nowak will give the staff a day to regroup and make final adjustments to procedures – then open the doors for the dinner crowd on Aug. 15. "We've worked really hard to make this a beautiful space. Our back patio is all done, the front patio is set out, we've built a solid staff front-of-the-house and back – and personally, I'm excited to get back into the kitchen cooking," Nowak says. http://www.cleveland.com/dining/index.ssf/2012/08/black_pig_restaurant_to_open_w_1.html Here are the official website and facebook page also: http://theblackpigcleveland.com/ http://www.facebook.com/blackpigcle
  15. The second picture shows a near perfect angle of it filling in the skyline.
  16. I agree with this. I love the nights, they're a nice touch for the city, would love more of them... but they could definitely use some more. I think we are averaging about one night for every day. Which is pretty much on par with every city in the world. So we are pretty much maxed out on nights.
  17. Carps and Black Jack, here I come! Going fishing and then to the casino?
  18. Agreed. The Renaissance should duplicate the exterior lighting and the tower needs similar lighting at least on the lower portion.

Looks like the renovations are finally going to happen and soon. Cleveland's League Park to get $5 million renovation Published: Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 4:48 PM Updated: Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 6:05 PM By Thomas Ott, The Plain Dealer Cleveland is finally set to restore League Park, at least two decades after city officials first discussed returning the piece of hallowed baseball ground to glory. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2012/01/league_park_to_get_5-million_r.html
  20. My bad. Let me try this again. Cleveland comes to over $1,370 per sq ft. Even including the land acquisition costs that seems incredibly high.
  21. $1.66 or $166? The Nashville math is $1.66. So I guess you could build a nice 3,000 sq ft home there for about 5 grand? :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
  22. KJP it would be great if you can move your list to the beginning of the thread. It would also be great if a lot of the threads with multiple projects had an initial post that was updated as needed. Thanks for the list.
