I don't know for sure, but I think that it was also torn down. The next time I am downtown I will check it out.

Kent, Ohio - Part 2
You're welcome! McNasty's? Are you referring to the old Diner that used to be next to the hardware store? If so, it was torn down for the redevelopment plans of the city.

Kent, Ohio - Part 3
I meant the parents were in the side yard, lol. But, thinking back, it probably would have been easy for someone to have kidnapped those kids. I guess Kent residents have a small town mentality?

It's Amazing How History Repeats Itself...
I think what cardsnxtyr is trying to say is that we need to be more open about alcohol and underage drinking. Like, parents should tell their kids the dangers of alcohol, that they don't want them to drink, and if they do drink, to act responsibly. If this is done, fewer teens would want to go crazy and drink to pass out. I agree with you that what the parent(s) says goes, but I think that he was trying to say that there needs to be open discussion about this topic to help prevent underage drinking and alcohol related incidents.

Kent / Kent State University: Development and News
I think that you are talking about the houses on Erie St, which have already been demolished. I posted an article up thread about this. The city wants to attract new businesses, restaurants, a hotel, and conference center in an effort to revitalize the downtown.

Kent, Ohio - Part 3
Thanks! And...this is Kent, not Cleveland. So, not everyone get's shot by just walking out of the house. ;) But seriously, they were in the side yard.

Ohio Tanning Bed Ban/Tax
LAWD!!!!!! Is a tan really that important?? Yes, how could one go out in public without a tan or at least a nice shade of orange? Which reminds me, I need to go tanning...

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
I would prefer it if they kept the Shelby station because without it, I wouldn't take the train to Cleveland I live on the east side of Mansfield and it would be more feasible for me to drive to Shelby and then take the train to Cleveland...wait, it would probably be faster if I just skipped the 3C altogether and drove to the Puritas station in Cleveland. Oh, and to get to Cbus, by the time I would get to Galion or Shelby, I would be halfway to Cbus. As for the Crestline and Greenwich stations, yeah they should be cut.

You Damn Young'uns!
We used to have one as well, but they took it down and gave us a whole new playground in 3rd grade. Nope, they still play those. Well, red rover is more of a home game, but we played dodgeball in my high school gym class. I miss dodgeball. :(
