Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
I am so glad that the leaders in Mansfield (and our State Rep. Jay Goyal) are able to see the opportunities that a train service could do for the region (since the stop is most likely going to be in Galion, even though I think that it should be in Mansfield). Too bad State Senator Bill Harris doesn't support the 3-C (at least I don't think so, he has never given me a straight answer) and too bad Jim Jordan likes to cry "fiscal conservative" every time I ask him to support the 3-C.

I think they change colors. I don't think that they were green Sunday night.

Atlanta: Downtown
This one: I desire to live in Cleveland and could never see myself living in Atlanta. Many of my friends would also prefer to live in Cleveland over Atlanta. Now, I am not saying that Atlanta is a horrible place; I am sure that there are some pretty awesome places in Atlanta. I am just saying that Atlanta is not somewhere I would want to live. And this: Things are still being built in Cleveland. I took a random trip up there today and saw construction all along Euclid and in other random parts of downtown, University Hospitals in University Circle, and I know of several construction projects being planned for the University Circle/Little Italy area. I think that you are taking MTS too seriously and that you need to calm down; just because you are annoyed with MTS doesn't mean that you need to insult Cleveland and the people that live there or want to live there. There are redeemable qualities of both cities and if you want to make a case for Atlanta maybe you could list some awesome things about the city (something that tells more about the city like Cleveland's neighborhoods: Little Italy, Ohio City, Detroit-Shoreway, Downtown, Shaker Square, Coventry, Tremont, etc).

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
I know I would. I would love just to take PARTA or my car to a station in Akron (is there even going to be in a stop in Akron?) and take the train to Mansfield/Galion. I hate driving and a train would be an awesome alternative.

What are you doing to Combat the Recession?
Unless one went through a previous recession at the worst possible time in one's career, I'd reckon there isn't much familiarity. And this is no ordinary recession. This one is hitting at a time when education costs have never been higher and wages/CoL has never been lower... not since the 30s, anyway. Also, never in US history has the entry level market been so soft. Advances in transportation, communication and automation have made humans obsolete to an unprecedented extent. These are issues we must face, preferably as an entire nation, and step one is admitting they exist. You do know who you are replying to, right? By that I mean, he has first hand experience with the current recession.

What are you doing to Combat the Recession?
How familiar are you with jobs like Pierce Promotions? Not at all really, just trying to help. Still doesn't change the fact that Kmart is hiring at several locations in/around Toledo. You could get a PT job there and still look for jobs (in your field) in bigger markets.

What are you doing to Combat the Recession?
C-Dawg, I did a search on the same site that RNR used and found 71 retail jobs in the Toledo area. There a number of jobs offered by Kmart that required no experience. Pierce Promotions had 2 job openings that pays $12-$14 an hour and doesn't require experience (one in Bowling Green, Oh and the other in Holland, Oh).

I don't think that it is tacky, but maybe you should give her a gift to go along with the book (like buy her lunch or something).

Akron - Random Part 2
Sorry that my 3 part tour was inadequate. I intended to get shots of the library, art museum, post office, and some other areas, but I was late meeting my friends (I went off on my own before meeting up with some friends at Quaker Square and we had to go back on campus to get something, hence the duplicate shots of many places) so I missed those shots. Oh, and I have a shot of the convention center, it is somewhat blurry though (#73). Some of those photos are out of order (if it was in order I would have had to walk up to Quaker Square then back down Mill St. and then up Mill St. again). I can't wait for your photos displaying some of Akron's finest.

Stuff to do this Sat
OMG Come one, give him a pass this time. He hasn't lived here very long and living in Beachwood, he's not exactly in a place where people talk about things that go on in the city. That is not a good excuse. I don't live in the city (not even as close as Beachwood) and I know where it is. :-D

Akron - Random Part 3
English is not his first language. I think he is asking if titles (or descriptions & locations) could be added to each picture. This way someone not familiar with the area can have a sense of the location for each photo. Ok, I guess that makes sense. I added general locations of where these pictures were taken. If someone was planning on seeing Downtown Akron I would suggest parking near Canal Park/the tow path area (parking located near Canal Park at the end of Paul Williams St, which is off of Exchange) and just walking around (downtown is pretty much bordered by Exchange to the south, Main St. to the west, Broadway to the east, and Market St. to the north). Florida Guy, I am not a local to the area (I just go to Kent State) so I really don't know of many neighborhoods in Akron (besides where my uncle lives and Highland Square, both of which I haven't had the chance to do a photo tour of). Buckeye, I thought that the top looked odd; makes sense that it is an addition.
