  2. Ink- No problem. I think that those brick homes are on South Adams St. which is off of South Diamond. Edale- It's racially mixed, but a larger percentage of the residents are black (I think).
  3. What, Mansfield's ghetto or the fact that Middletown looks like one of Mansfield's ghettos? lol
  4. Park Ave. East Some older, random pictures taken in the Hedges area. Future Ghetto Threads: North Mansfield -King St. Area & Ocie Hill The Chamber District More of South Mansfield -Random sections
  5. Ink made a request in my last Mansfield thread (The North Lake Park one) to take pictures of some of Mansfield's ghettos (which would include parts of NLP that I neglected to photograph), so here goes. Hedges in on the south eastern portion of the city and I call it Hedges because of the local school in the area :-D. It is bordered by Park Ave. East on the north side, Oak St. on the east side, South Main St. on the west side (although it crosses S. Main and mixes with the St. Peter's neighborhood and the area around MedCentral, but those are future threads), and bordered by The Mansfield Cemetery and South Diamond St. on the south side. The New Jail Someone's garden On to Part 2

Mansfield's carousel is so much better. :-P Nice pictures, I really like the ones of the clouds. Oh, and the town was charming too.
  12. And you call yourself a Clevelander....tsk tsk. I don't call myself a Clevelander, I'm a Mansfielder. lol Lakeside/Lakeview, same thing.
  13. Funds approved for $1.85 million expansion project at Renaissance Theatre News Journal staff report • August 6, 2008 MANSFIELD -- The Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission approved $1.85 million at its quarterly meeting Tuesday for an expansion project at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield.
  14. I like the exterior the way it is. Besides, it would cost around half a million dollars to clean the exterior, and it could still become black again. The sandstone used for this tower is from Berea and the stone easily absorbs pollution, which caused the stone to turn black in the first place. btw, I found all of that out from the guide.
  15. When I walked across the bridge I also thought that it said poop, but my friend told me that it said poor not poop. lol
  16. "That noise" is probably just the sound of mayhem and destruction caused by the uncontrollable amount of crime that has caused the city to rot away. Love this thread, awesome job.
  17. That was funny. I guess I am glad that Tremont was "stolen from the poor".
  18. Thanks, I am glad you all enjoyed my little tour of Cleveland. Dr. Broc- I guess you should feel honored, or slightly freaked that we all know where you live and work. lol JefferyT- I wish more people could see this tour of Cleveland in person. Maybe then people would stop believing that Cleveland is a dying city and realize how diverse and exciting the city really is.
  19. The view from the monument was amazing. If you have never been there, you should defiantly pay it a visit. Plus, the guide is really nice and will give you a lot of information.
  20. Columbusite- I am not sure that I will want a reminder. JefferyT & mrnyc- Thanks, however, I wish I had a better camera so they (the dusk & night shots) wouldn't turn out so grainy.
  21. Thanks, I am glad that you all enjoyed the tour. What was Tremont like before it was "stolen from the poor"?
  22. Ink - I like Gordon Square as well. Thanks. :-D
  23. ^^ I am glad that you enjoyed the tour. :-D ^Thanks! :-D
  24. One Night In Cleveland Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Whoever said Cleveland was dead and not worth visiting, obviously has never been there.
  25. One Night In Cleveland Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Took my friend to Little Italy (he had never been) and ate lunch. I didn't take any pictures there because I had just done that a couple weeks before. We then made our way up the hill and went into Lakeside Cemetery. Up next... University Cicle Part 6
