Yep, it has been going on for years. The Phoenix Cafe is the other black eye in the downtown bar scene. I'm not surprised that owner didn't take the million for that property he is probably making way more in interest. Best we can do as residents is object at liqour license hearings for their renewal. Martins Bar on Elm was a big win for us, that place was freakin unreal.

Kendall have you been to the chinese/vietnamese rest next door to the bayhorse? I go there all the time, owner is nice, food is inexpensive and delicious also the inside of the restraunt is super clean. He should have more business but many people I know won't go there just because it's next to the bayhorse.

You have got to be kidding me! That bar is as bad or worse than the now closed Martin's Bar by Findlay market on Elm. It is a constant problem for Police. It was located next to the crackhouse hotel FT Washington which is now being rehabbed into condos thank God. It's location 1 block from the Aronoff Center does not help. I haven't heard of too many bars downtown where the patrons fight and have shootings at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Moving the drop in center should be a priority, move it where? im not sure, maybe West Chester?? There are dozens of registered sex offenders who use the drop inn center as a primary address, thats not good next to the new SCPA. Washington Park is a beautiful place, that will be nice when the washington park school is demolished.

Well I think it might be awhile before anything happens down in the schiller/hughes/main area since that area is controlled by thugs..Went for a walk and was about 1 block from the area when small gunfire erupted "4 quick shots"..it was really interesting how other people residents and other passerby in the area stopped, looked around then went back to their normal business..LOL one guy even started putting his drycleaning neatly into the backseat of the car. Amazing..

:clap:Oh this is great news! I thought Hart had liquidated all of his properties a few years ago and didnt realize he had 40 more??? I don't want RESTOC redeveloping properties in critical mass proportions. I would rather them go one or two properties at a time and do a good rehab! well thats good!

That mural is the coolest advertising I have seen for a long time.. ODOT must be in the SUV lobby, they despise mini coopers and other small frugal gas consuming vehicles.I bet if it was an Escalade or hummer they wouldnt have said anything.

Over-the-Rhine: 2004 residential projects wrap-up
The buildings at the NE and NW corners of main were sold a few years ago 03 I think, and are going to be rehabbed the last I heard from the realtors across the street. All those properties 1600-1605 are owned by the same company and it will be nice once the work gets started, "scaffolding has been up for a long time" Cars have crashed into a couple of the buildings in the last 6 months but no major damage.

31 west thirteenth is going to be section 8 voucher. :x Why waste money rehabbing when it is going to be trashed as soon as they are occupied.
