    ^ that's a problem...
  3. Hey, if we get parking garage w/ street retail that can support a tower, I consider that a plus.
  4. When it comes to cycling, the temperatures are probably most important. Places like the Twin Cities are far colder and have the same number of days with measurable snow (100 in TC vs 91 in Cle) It only becomes difficult to ride in active snowfall or when snow is on the road. These events are very rare no matter how much anyone wants to believe differently. If there is snow on the ground but the roads are plowed any rider can ride in temps down to around 25 degrees. We have very few days that are colder than 25 degrees. Cleveland is far from the coldest place in the US. Chicago, Madison, WI, Twin Cities are far colder and higher cycling rates because of better infrastructure.
  5. The whole "you can't ride a bike in the winter" is way overplayed. Most of the winter is perfectly fine for cycling. You just need the proper equipment. The city, due to a specific traffic engineer, does a terrible job with bicycle infrastructure. ^ i will give you no flak for your comment except that I'd like to see bike lanes all the way to Public Square as well as expanded sidewalk on Euclid. Don't get me started on the much too wide Lakeside, Superior, and St. Clair.
  6. From the article: Sluggish non-auto sales tax and income tax collections are driving the reduced estimates, Keen said. As tax revenue collections, particularly from the income tax, continued to fall short of month estimates, Senate President Larry Obhof, R-Medina, said weeks ago that his chamber would pass a budget accounting for a $1 billion shortfall.
  7. We need to just cut taxes a little more and then it will start trickling revenue all over the place.
  8. ^ there appear to be more vacancies in the mall. I haven't seen any new retail.
  9. ^ 5 blocks doesn't sound unreasonable at all.
  10. This is a nice sizable piece of land for development. I might guess that it is likely one of the largest remaining in the county.
  11. All sorts of free spaces on weekends downtown. On street parking usually requires some walking. I can't remember the last time I paid to park downtown except out of shear laziness.
  12. Clothing was more expensive back then too. I don't think people had a lot of clothes. They wouldn't have casual wear that we have now.
  13. Target date for construction is August 1.
  14. TBH..there isn't much of a neighborhood there. It's mostly urban prairie and brownfields.
  15. Last I heard they're looking at light industry on the western portion moving to medical/ tech related close to E. 105.
  16. ^ It sounds like the previous incidents were teenage vandalism rather than protection rackets. It could be likely teenagers now that it's summertime and the have more free time on their hands. Let's hope this stops before businesses get chased out.

  19. No doubt, it's what it appears to be. I hope they catch who's responsible.
  20. Protection rackets are still a thing huh?

Clark Fulton is just under 50% Hispanic or Latino. Since Hispanic is not a race I would assume it is the largest ethnicity in the neighborhood.

There's a pretty strong Arabic community around 117th and Lorain. Albanian immigrants in Lakewood. Ukrainian Village in Parma. Orthodox Jewish enclave in Cle Hts around Taylor and severn.
