Cleveland: Rocket Arena (Gund Arena)
The word infrastructure came into use and replaced the less sexy public works. I guess i could see an argument to the arena being a part of public works just like the West Side Market and Rec Centers. The city could continue to operate without them but they are part of public works.

I think passing the ordinance with 12 votes prevents a referendum. I think that's why the needed 12 rather than a simple majority.

^ If CMSD were smart, they would sell this piece of highly valuable land but alas here we are.

^ This plays out all across the country. The so-called elite out of touch cities and blue states provide welfare for red states. Maybe the elites should but out of those good americans' lives altogether instead of subsidizing their "way of life."

The cave have pledged to make up the difference if admissions taxes fall short. I think the rec Centers and high schools will appreciate new gym floors. Habitat for Humanity will also appreciate their donation. Gilbert is a deal maker.

It sounds like Gilbert sweetened the pot to get stakeholders on board. He gave enough to get Cummins. Maybe Gilbert can teach trump how to negotiate.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I know many people in law enforcement. Mostly good people but there are people in LE that just want to be able to do what they want without questions. Any limitation is being anti-cop. Everyone has rules on their job and you don;t get to stop working because you don;t like the rules.

By all means, they should go after the bikes but I don't think the use bike on city streets needs to be enforced with high speed chases.
-
Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
It seems here that the problem is with the police then rather than a no-chase policy. I think using helicopters and radios can help track where the ATVs are kept. However a high speed chase, IMHO, only make the problem worse. I think a high speed chase would create an even more dangerous situation.

Lot's of what if's in your statement. You almost what ifed your way in to tipping the earth's axis. Then what?

Nothing in your comments would necessitate a high speed chase.

I think it is pointless to chase ATVs and dirtbikes with police cruisers. I don't think it's safe to even attempt it.

Cleveland Area TOD Discussion
^ I guess I'd have the access to 117th directly to the street. It's actually not in a terrible location now. The parking lot could be located where the storage place us now. The current parking lot could be developed to a TOD

Cleveland Area TOD Discussion
The tracks cross over 117. The transit stop could be there. I think the worst stop on West side is West Park. The stop is way off Lorain Ave. This us another one where the stop could be moved over Lorain Ave.

but if that line is moved somewhere else, why would that be ham stringing the dept. what if the depts used evidence based guidance and trained their officers that way. This is what Jefferson Beuregard Sessions III is against.
