Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
I have been worried that there is an over supply of rooms. Maybe, the older inventory will get converted to another use and we end up with the right number of newer hotel rooms.

Cleveland Mayoral Race 2017
I've met Johnson and worked with him on a project. I know he has a checkered past but I think he is a bright and capable guy. I may not agree with all of his ideas but I think he would make a fine mayor.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
The fact that the city has $12M to throw away for this is ridiculous. Riding RTA around the perimeter has become a serious PITA. This is typical for Cleveland to design something and then not use it the way it is designed. I cannot understand why Mayor Frank "least of thee" Jackson is unconcerned with those riding transit.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I'm not sure if this belongs here or the Public Square thread: FTA wants its $12 million back "The FTA details how it first warned the RTA on August 10th that the continued closure would constitute a breach. It then documents how it sent another letter on October 12th to restate that very point. Yet on November 16th, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and RTA Manager Joe Calabrese announced in a joint press conference that the square would stay closed." http://www.wkyc.com/news/local/cleveland/feds-order-rta-to-pay-back-12m-in-30-days/380370221

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I took the Rapid downtown this morning for Winterfest with out of town relatives. Having to figure out where the shuttle bus was when we went home was a hassle. RTA needs to up their game.

The routing around the square is an idiotic idea. Once again Cleveland half-asses something.

nothing really wrong with the neighborhood heading west either. I ride my bike there often too. From West Blvd east to Gordon Square I agree.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Speaking of poorly designed transit maps, the Downtown bus shelter transit maps are a disaster. The trolley line and CSU line use different shades of green and blue and they get easily confused each other and the blue and green line. I don't understand why different colors weren't used on the map.

Cleveland City Council
I think a blended system would be great maybe 6 wards and 5 at-large. That way you have some members who are familiar with and look after needs of a neighborhood and others members looking out for the city as a whole.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Or maybe a campus at the Geis proposed development in the Burke parking lot. Although a Flats location might make sense considering their lab there.
