Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I am not sure why RTA doesn't copy other larger transit agencies when taking on certain projects. The vending fiasco could have been avoided by seeing how other agencies do this. The real time information software is the same issue. There must be a reason that no other large agency is using the software.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I am hoping that RTA uses open data. It seems that this would be ideal and create the best possible real time system. This link explains it better than I can. http://www.streetfilms.org/a-case-for-open-data-in-transit/

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
While riding past the 1900 Lofts on the Healthline I noticed workers getting ready to install a sign for 1900 Food and Beverage. Not sure if it will be a supermarket as advertised or more of a bodega.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
It really is frustrating to when the Healthline stops at traffic lights especially when there is no cross traffic. This happens a lot at E6 and E4. The worst stop being E9 due to the length of the red light. Overall the Healthline is a pleasant ride but whoever is in charge of traffic better get their act together. This system should already be in operation.

Cleveland: Cleveland State University News & Info
Sounds llike good news for the Campus International School, I am excited about the potential impact of this school. High hopes for new Cleveland public school at CSU; closed church rented By Janet Okoben May 13, 2010, 9:45PM CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The new Campus International School at Cleveland State University was officially launched Thursday with ambitions as long as the school's name. CSU President Ronald Berkman and Cleveland schools CEO Eugene Sanders said the school, which opens in August with kindergarten through second grade, will bring many low-income students closer to a college campus than perhaps they would have come otherwise. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/05/high_hopes_for_the_new_clevela.html

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
I did not like the idea of this project at first but i have changed my opinion. I think it would be great if the boulevard was built already and it would be a great location for the "Health Tech" Corridor as opposed to Euclid Avenue. I think a connection from I77 to UC is needed as well. Just my opinion.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
When I read the PD article this morning it seemed as if they got the scoop from here. Anyway I am on Euclid a lot and haven't noticed the road falling apart. Can anyone shed some light on how bad it really is? Also, does anyone know if its normal for concrete to break apart around the seem due to the freeze thaw cycle?

Cleveland-Lakewood: Enhance Clifton Transit Project
I would also love to see BRT service on Detroit rather than Clifton. However Clifton is wider and can more easily accommodate it. I am not sure if Detroit is wide enough to provide BRT service. If Clifton BRT becomes a reality I'd like to see it integrated with the Healthline and create one seat ride to University Circle.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I thought about that too. I would hope that BRT service on Clifton would also include increased frequency and regular weekend service. Otherwise it would make more sense to run BRT on Detroit if it is wide enough.
