Yes fully closed for 1 week to bring and assembly the crane. Then 1 west bound lane closed for 18 months.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
Didn't take that long (yeah, like a city official is going to come around and talk to individual businesses about the road closing).... Euclid Avenue small business owners fume over road closing, lack of communication http://www.cleveland19.com/story/36295351/businesses-owners-on-euclid-say-theyre-concerned-over-road-closing-lack-of-communication Sounds like sour grapes from 2 business owners. Road closures are a part of life.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon

It's not like there was months and months of planning meetings, permitting, etc. How could the neighborhood not be informed? Of course, I sometimes forget that people engaged in forums like UO are not living under a rock like 3/4 of the population.... But we are also big time development nerds while the rest of the population has other non interesting things they geek out about.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
It's been so long I actually forgot what was there before the garage.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
I'm wondering how that will work. I assume they will have to close at least for next week along with other businesses close to 515 Euclid.- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
The Indians do not get the respect that I think they deserve. I would argue that they have the best run front office of any team in Cleveland (not saying much.) Being in a smaller market and making playoff runs every 3- 6 years is remarkable IMHO.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
^ I think your crane seems to be sturdier and safer. YABO713[/member] is always trying to cut corners to save a buck. :-D- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
Do they have their financing identified? Or it is all approved and closed? The timeline from identified to closed can be loooooooong and tedious.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
I'm not sure how far along PHS is in their capital stack. Developers tend be more optimistic than lenders and lawyers.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
^ you never doubted me YABO713[/member]. It might not be August but it's happening.- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
I think the the area north of CSU is ripe for redevelopment and could work for an Amazon campus. Site control could be a major hurdle.- Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
As far as putting together a proposal, GCP and TeamNEO are the ones that need to be on top of this. Amazon wants only one package from each MSA which can include multiple sites from multiple jurisdictions. I don't care if this ends up in the burbs or Summit County. I'd love to see it NEO. Anywhere else in Ohio is my second choice and Detroit is third. I'm a dreamer.- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Thanks for reminding me about the Ferrari Dealership. That made me smile.- Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
I have a little free time right now and I love this type of "research."- Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
I found this on a search for Heyse Block Cleveland. http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/15248520/1702-W-28th-St-Cleveland-OH/- Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
Fairmount Street is now known as East 107th Street. I have attached a cool link showing old street names before they were converted to numbers. I'm not sure about Hayse Block. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~officer/Clev1906D_F.html- Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
I was envisioning a mixed use development anchored by Amazon's 2nd HQ in which case i think we can build out a huge section of SP all at one and use a TIF to assist with rail, infrastructure and road construction.- Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
^ I discussed in the other thread that the city could create a TIF district for public infrastructure improvements. The increase in value from 8 million square feet of office should generate enough to improve the infrastructure. Looking at a map SP is not far from the Red Line at W25th and directly across the river from Tower City. Perhaps a spur loop off of the red line, or trolley buses could make the connection to W25th. I think pedestrian bridges could connect to Tower City as well which provides access to all rail transit and parking.- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Some well place pedestrian bridges linking to the Tower City parking lot could help in connecting to parking and transit. Perhaps a red line spur or loop bus could help too. They can maybe turn the peninsula into a TIF district and use the proceeds to improve transit, cycing and automobile access to the site.- Cleveland / Lakewood: The Edge Developments
^ That's what I thought too. I wasn't able to follow KJP on that point.- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
I posted in the ohio thread that the former Hunting Building and adjacent JHB might work for a first phase with later phases built on the Greyhound site and surrounding parking lots.- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I got my Browns season tickets though. LOL- Ohio: General Business & Economic News
Former Huntington Building in Cleveland is about 1 million square feet. Add in JHB it could handle the phase 1 and 2 maybe. Then a short hop over to the Greyhound Station and surrounding parking lots for the remainder.- Painesville / Lake County: Development and News
Pickle Bill's without the flair. I'll have to check it out sometime. - Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
