  1. I should use his driving techniques on CincinnatiRoads.com...
  2. Wow, impressive...
  3. ^Indeed...I just love having George Washington as part of the skyline...Washington's so cool...
  4. Very cool! Sorry about the game (I'm lying), but hope you enjoyed yourself, and will be back soon! Thanks for the thread! I dig the tailgating shot - a bunch of Whodeys, on two levels, with the Freedom Center, GABP and the skyline behind - lots of layers in that shot...very nicely done!
  5. Wow! I was thinking super-nearby mountains with snowcaps, and few things are steeper than the west side of the Pacific plate subduction zone...didn't know it was that big, though! I don't have many non-Cincinnati skyline shots, except this one, which is way too easy, but it's one of my favorite skyline angles:
  6. I still only use Findlay Market for special meal-type stuff - if I've got a special seafood meal planned, or want someone skilled to roll-cut a pork loin so I can stuff it, things like that. But I need to follow the Skinner method, make it a regular stop...
  7. Here's a list by route number: http://www.sorta.com/schedules.html ...by community: http://www.sorta.com/communities.html ...and by points of interest: http://www.sorta.com/poi.html
  8. You can take the 1, 4, 11, 12x, or 69 from downtown to the Walnut Hills Kroger. Definitely not the best grocery store around - slightly better than Corryville, slightly worse than Bellevue...but if you want good produce, good meat, a killer cheese selection, a good bakery, a good wine selection, variety in things like mushrooms and apples, all the spices, all the brands, etc., you've really gotta go to Hyde Park - Biggs has better cheese and wine, Kroger has better produce (they run out of stuff less often) and fantastic meats, and Kroger has a liquor store...and then there's Fresh Market in Oakley, which is fantastic, but there's not all that much they do well that Findlay Market doesn't already do well...
  9. Hey, I smelled something funny and then followed the news in the paper for days, which took a lot of time! I obviously need thousands of dollars to make myself whole again!
  10. Wow - so that's the Bosphorus? Very impressive...not a river, but still...

I hope you post your pictures for us - many of us are obsessed by Cincinnati, and any outsider's images of it are greatly appreciated! Any idea when you'll be back in town? And any chance you'll be applying to go to school here? I thought I remembered you saying you were 18 or so...
  12. Yeah, but what city do you think it is?

The Art Museum is free, by the way, and Eden Park is beautiful...how long are you in town?
  14. If Riverview East Academy's interior is any indication of the thought and innovation that's gone into the other school, then no doubt, the learning spaces are phenomenal. But then Riverview Academy also has a very interesting exterior, and is definitely all-around a cool facility...
  15. I think that's a great idea...I know sometimes I almost approach this thread with trepidation, because if it's a Monday, I know I need to have at least a half hour to invest in it...god only knows how long it takes you to put it together for us!

Voting illegally is a big deal...they take that seriously. Definitely an unwise choice... There was a story a few years ago about a guy from Austalia, here legally, but who voted illegally. He'd been here 20+ years and got deported...
  17. Wow...busy day! Thanks for the threads...I was in the kitchen cooking all day, so couldn't have gotten away if I'd have tried...looks like I missed an interesting time!

The best thing that can happen to an educated debtor is for a company to violate the FDCPA like this...it's a get-out-of-debt-free card, with normally a $1200 + attorney fees kicker thrown in. They can't threaten to take action they don't intend to take; they can't lie; they can't reveal information to a third party - all of those are violations of federal law. If this happens to you, document it, record conversations, retain all your correspondence, then get an attorney and cash in. And, by the way, they can't take what you don't have. The only way I know of that you can go to jail over a debt is if a judgement is rendered against you, and you fail to appear at a court-ordered Judgement Debtor Exam.
  19. Yeah, not much to go on there...I was going to grab a better shot of it this morning, but wasn't able to swing by... Anyway, your first guess is right - Walnut Hills Cemetery.
  20. How about this cemetery? Hint - it's not Spring Grove!
  21. Yes, Eden Park, in the lower overlook area, just north of the Twin Lakes. You're up!
  22. 17 hour hint time...here's another view, same bench:
  23. Yeah, I love that bench...sorry, not Ault Park...
