  1. ...well, that depends on a) how long it takes you to get to Corry at Jefferson, and b) how long you have to wait for the next train...
  2. Despite less-than-stirring locales, you still took great shots of it! And yeah, the bluebird is gorgeous!
  3. Oh, and what fantastic shots! Those are really tremendous - great lighting, great angles...love this thread!
  4. Here's a thread on Inwood Village/Glencoe stuff: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=325.0
  5. That's a great investigative report...and really DNA testing like that is not very expensive... I hope this makes sushi restaurants take notice, and not try to pull scams like this...and if it really was their suppliers, doing this on a large scale, we're talking some serious fraud...
  6. Just to be clear, I voted for the school levy - I just don't think the levy failed because the voters are self-absorbed Scrooges... Another factor is that they put this on the ballot really late, without much time to put a good campaign together, to really push for it. It almost seemed like a preparatory levy - like, put this on this time to get folks talking about it, lay the groundwork for a strong campaign next time...
  7. I don't think that's fair at all - not when we voted for $1 billion in additional taxes for the school construction project a few years ago.

I don't think her name is Rando...
  9. Just saw the first MLS listing today...here are the pictures - and let me just say, much as the siding doesn't make it look like a $325K place, they did a stunning job on the inside:
  10. So this did make the ballot, but I cannot find anything about how it did...anyone know?
  11. Sixth Street? Wow, I had no idea on that! Just zoomed in on Google, and wow, how about that! That looks EXCESSIVELY cool! Thanks so much for the head's up!
  12. Ah, very nice...great shots! Thanks for posting!

Don't know why, but I just love those cluster-f's of signage...
  14. Is this part of what's been going on up Gilbert the last couple months? Lots of median-plantery...
  15. I think it was just parking lot - check out this google satellite image...
  16. You do great neighborhood shots, but the sign-off shot is my favorite...
  17. What's crazy (and utterly irrelevant) is that you can't find non-sweetened tea in Canada either...

    That's great stuff...
  19. Looking at some crime statistics: http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/police/pages/-4258-/ The "Projected 2007" are simply the "Thru 09/07" numbers divided by 3/4 - but I'd imagine crime is lower in October/November/December than it is during the summer - though that could be wrong, and obviously any trend could change at any time. Here's Calls for Service over the last few years in North Avondale: 2005: 5,215 2006: 5,895 Thru 09/07: 4,004 Projected 2007: 5,339 Part 1 Crimes: 2005: 521 2006: 458 Thru 9/07: 366 Projected 2007: 488 Here are the same numbers for Avondale: Calls for service: 2005: 13,358 2006: 14,279 Thru 9/07: 10,829 Projected 2007: 14,439 Part 1 Crimes: 2005: 1,180 2006: 1,191 Thru 9/07: 915 Projected 2007: 1,220
  20. Depends which way you're headed...

I think it's a suburb of New Albany. BTW, kick-ass pictures - very nicely documented!
  22. Best as I recall - and remember, I'm not a Columbusite - but this was the route that we took today: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1430189 ...I'm sure I got the approach to Kingfish Manor wrong, but I couldn't figure out what actually looked right... A wonderful time, no doubt, and it was great to meet everyone...sorry I had to duck out early, but now I've definitely got to run... Hope to see you all in Cincinnati next time around!
  23. Yeah, looking at the other entries, you're definitely right...some of the houses look fine, just falling apart...
  24. Yeah, it's really more of a mini-downtown type area...Blue Ash is really suburbs, not exurbs...yay!
