  1. I wouldn't really feel comfortable living on Hemlock, because there are lots of folks who just hang out on the streets at the end of the block...but it's really not that bad a neighborhood. The house three houses up the street sold in 2003 for $103K - it's 1800 square feet, two family - definitely a comp. So I'm sure the $9,900 house is that cheap mostly because of major damage...

  3. What's the Bus/Cowher story?
  4. ...and the zoomable version: http://cagis.hamilton-co.org/map/cagis.htm
  5. Nice to see you're not taking the simple way out and calling it C.U.F. like everyone else (myself included) does! This won't help here, but it's the only street-by-street neighborhood map that I've ever come across: http://cagis.hamilton-co.org/map/cagis.htm ...but it, of course, uses CUF...
  6. ^Yeah, my sushi-loving friend thought that was the best sushi in the area until he went to Aoi...
  7. I love O'Bryonville...thanks for the visit!
  8. Where is that flood marker at? Do you remember the street/cross street? I don't know enough to recognize the roads, and would love to check that out...great tour!
  9. Wow...that ain't a spot where hillside slippage would be a very good thing...of course, at this point there's probably not a single hillside in Mt. Adams where slippage wouldn't be well-nigh disasterous...
  10. No God. There is no God.
  11. It's a heart-stopper...what a great game thus far... But go Seahawks!
  12. I was just about to post, "there is no God" - when the Seahawks intercepted...perhaps my faith shall be reborn today!
  13. Right now they are...and even as they are, they still block some of the view of the river. You can see some of it, from what I saw when I went there, but it will block the near side of the river...
  14. They have other dishes there, non-sushi...I've had a lamb chop a few years ago...can't find a menu with a quick search, but there are other things...maybe not extensive enough for a family, though...
  15. Wow, aren't we just Mr. Polly Campbell lately? Thanks for all your restaurant reviews - I always enjoy reading them and finding new places to try out! Regarding sushi, I haven't been many places - mostly to Beluga...though I've heard Aoi is top notch from my sushi-eating friends...
  16. I'm sure the folks at Twain's Pointe agree with you!
  17. ^Indeed, the plants are supposed to be indigenous to the continents they're from: http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2003/05/17/loc_berrypark17box.html
  18. LOL...I was thinking the same thing!
  19. ^It's even better in the summer, when the plantings are awash in color...a great addition to the already amazing Cincinnati Parks system...
  20. Let's hope...all the best to the Cleveland economy...
  21. Wow...gorgeous, as always... And what a fire escape!
  22. Looks like there's some work happening on Martin Drive, by the base of Paradrome and Parkside...I don't know if it's roadwork or prepping for new housing, and didn't see any mention of Martin in the last few months in this thread...anyone know anything about this? I'll try to get some pictures...
  23. My wife and I were on our honeymoon, and had someone staying at our house, watching the cats...she had to run home for a couple days, and the night she left someone broke into our house...the only thing he took was a cheap DVD player - left the liquor, missed the jewelry (not much of it to miss, but he missed it), ate some peanut butter, some turkey gravy, some candy, and cluttered up the place...and he went through all our wedding gifts, all unopened, but didn't take any of them (we think)...the worst part was he went through all the cards looking for cash - and didn't put them back with the presents they came from...we figured most of them out, but I had to call a few folks to ask them if they got us the thermos or the pyrex... Actually, the worst part was the fingerprint dust - it was all over, and the cats got into it and tracked it everywhere...eventually they returned the wedding cards to us, but seeing fingerprinted wedding cards was just too horror-movie-disturbing to keep them around...
  24. It'd be interesting to see it expanded - I'd dig seeing Walnut Hills, since I live there, and Evanston and Madisonville and Norwood, since I'm a fan of all three hoods...
  25. All hail Pigboy...thanks for all your time!
