CLEVELAND - Downtown Forum Lunch Meet - July 30th or July 31st? (see last page)
I just saw this now--not sure if I can make it, but I'll try. Thanks for organizing. Like AJ93, I see a little number is next to the 'profile' link, but no pop up like with PM's. When I hover over the 'profile' link, a fly-out menu includes an option to click on 'mentions'. When I click there, I see the mention. On that page, there is an option to be notified of mentions by email. I checked that option now.

Cleveland: Downtown: Drury Plaza Hotel Development
I've heard people refer to that garage as the "scary" garage. One person I know who parked there last year told me he would find ruble on his car at the end of the day (presumably from the crumbling ceiling).

Cleveland: Population Trends
I haven't seen this posted elsewhere, and I'm not sure if this is the best place to post it: Talent Migration has Elevated Cleveland's Younger Work Force to One of Nation's most Educated Demographer Joel Kotkin isn’t normally kind to Cleveland in his pieces for Forbes.com, but this one is a major exception. “In virtually every regional economic or demographic analysis that I conduct for Forbes, Rust Belt metro areas tend to do very poorly,” Kotkin writes. “But there’s a way that they could improve, based in large part on the soaring cost of living in the elite regions of California and the Northeast. And one of the rustiest of them appears to be capitalizing on the opportunity already: that perpetual media punching bag, Cleveland.” ... any ohio time and temp lines
When I was young, 216-WE1-1212 was the number for weather, and 216-GR1-1212 was the number for time. I was told GR stood for Greenwich. For a time in the 1990's, I seem to also remember 216-881-0880 was a time/weather number.

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
I took your suggestion this afternoon during lunch. It's incredible to see what's going on inside that building! Really??? And that's all you have??? ;) Sorry about that. I realized after I left that I should have taken photos. I'll do better in the future.

Cleveland: Calfee Building (Rockwell and East 6th)
Try Rockwell garage, which is next door to the new Calfee garage, or the Cathedral garage. My company has a group rate at the Cathedral for $147/month. I think the Rockwell has the same rate.

Wasn't the 1717 E 9th St Bldg up for auction a year or two ago, but there were no bidders?

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
I just don't remember seeing the other interesting ones (California, Ontario, Puerto Rico, Washington, Texas, Vermont, North Dakota, Connecticut, North Carolina) until recently. Were they always around (but I just didn't notice them until recently), or is it something new?

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
While driving around the Cleveland metro area over the last couple months, I have noticed more out of state license plates on the roads than I have seen in the past. I drive 77 N in the mornings into downtown, but I have also noticed these plates on other highways and roads around town. For example, in the last week I have seen 2 plates from the state of Washington, Virginia plates, New Jersey plates, Kentucky plates, and Tennessee plates. Also, over the last couple months, I have seen some plates from California, Colorado (at least 3), Maryland (several), Wyoming (at least a couple), North Dakota, Vermont (several), Wisconsin (several), North Carolina, Georgia. I have always seen some plates from Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Indiana, so don't include those. I don't recall seeing so many out of state plates in the past. Has anyone else noticed this (or is it just my imagination)? If so, any ideas why there are more out of state plates driving around Cleveland?

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
And thats all it is is insight. I have no material knowledge of anything that United Airlines is contemplating with regard to its ops in CLE or anywhere. I'm giving an opinion based on 25+ years in the industry, mostly in the cockpit. I understand it is just your insight from the cockpit, but it's good to hear your perspective. Also, it's good to hear a different perspective from the media.
