Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
I work in the building occasionally and I am on GSA’s regional mailing list. That’s was GSA’s estimate of 200M to keep the building operational which really means 250M. Interior renovation’s have nothing to do with it @Whipjacka. I’ve overseen a few renovation projects in the building and every time we tried to tap into a water source, the pipes would crumble. The 200-250M estimate is for guts alone. Nothing to do with renovation.

I very much appreciate the insight. As someone who’s never been in the industry, I perceive it’s more complicated than it looks from the outside. Packy is way too nice of a guy to run a bar. I’ve never seen the guy in a bad mood.

They were in business for 25+ years. Most of those types of clubs rebrand every 3-5 years. They never did.

I can’t tell you where the numbers are coming from but the 25% includes telecommuters that come in the office two days or less a week. The other smaller offices have higher occupancy.

Everyone from the DOD exited Northpoint years ago, unless I’m not familiar with other than DFAS/DoD. They did used to have a large presence. The DoD does still occupy almost 11 floors with anvailable occupancy and one full floor that was due for renovations but was put on hold doing Covid. The DoD does have other sites near downtown with smaller square footage space.
