As of yesterday, exterior panels were being placed on the apartment portion of Library Lofts, similar concept to those used on the Medley.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
The "earlier closing" phenomena is widespread, having been triggered by the pandemic. Even 24 hour stores are affected. I don"t know how long this will last. Staffing shortages compound the problem. I share the desire for more open late and 24 hour destinations.

LOL, except when there is that wierd atmospheric inversion. I never experienced it, when I lived in Shoregate Towers.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
LOL, any public subsidy should be like an incenive contract teams do with players: $x per 2023 victory plus $y for each 2023 playoff win. Make 'em earn it. That would be hilarious.

I may still have my " Build the Dome" button from the last (V. Campanella) tax levy attempt. 😉

^Yes, hehe, the author of the article obviously has not been keeping up with UO. They're the same old bs perceptions about Cleveland.

^ LOL thanks for the info. I do have some WD-40, but probably not enough.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
Did that B&O line, at one time, run under Carter and Columbus, over the bascule next to the Nautica Pavillion, and over the bascule next to Shooters? Imagine if the CVSR could extend past Tower City to serve the Canal Basin Park, Flats West Bank and Wendy Park. Are those bascules even operational?

Ohio Congressional Redistricting / Gerrymandering
^LOL (translating Politician to English), is he really saying, "How we do that, though, to make sure it is done in a way that preserves a GOP advantage, is a difficult challenge."😄

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
I trust most riders to be able to read the destination sign of a bus or train they are getting on. If they have a hangover and get on the wrong train, they could transfer at Shaker Square. It's like when some rapids went only as far as West Park and others continued to the airport. Anyway, I fully agree with the signal prioritization. I project that an express Shaker-Green run downtown would BEAT a car. It would stop only at Warrensville, Lee, and Coventry in the heights area.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Vital signs: Yesterday, I went to Gypsy Beans. The parking lot behind it and that behind the Capital Thheater were completely full. I did luckily find a space on W65th. There were people walking around. It was cool to see. It's ALIIIIIVE. I did notice that Boiler 65 was gone. I didn't remember that.

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
@Boomerang_Brianin your proposal, would the Shaker-Green line still exist and go downtown? One thought would be to have certain runs of each line go to CCF, while other runs go downtown, at least in peak hours to enable single rides on both lines. Also, I still think certain peak hour runs of the Shaker-Green line should be made "express" with stops only at bus transfer points in Shaker Heights to make it more attractive for park/ride commuting.

Cleveland: St. Clair-Superior (non-Asiatown): Development and News
I happened to drive by Richman's the other day, and it looked really beaten up. I hope it is salvageable. Where did the 700 fussy tailors end up?

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
My comment on seating or the lack thereof was based on the picture of the car's interior provided in @KJP's article. Maybe RTA will configure the car differently.
-
Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
LOL, so RTA's idea for a renaissance of rail usage in Cleveland is to run transit cars that are close to SRO? Maybe I'll bring one of our folding beach chairs.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
LOL, looks like they picked up and moved the Vue from Beachwood. So many of the new complexes have that same look.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
The addition of the third southbound lane under the US422/I271 to I480N bridges, and the addition of a lane eastbound on I480 EB west of I480N has dramatically improved traffic flows on I271 southbound and I480 eastbound, by removing bottlenecks.
