  1. What is the magnitude of RTA's rail car need? How much could RTA reasonably hope for from this pot of money? Presumably, this 600M would be split among many cities. Would this money be over and above "normal federal funding?"
  2. Potentially helpful hint for the Guards prior to facing N.Y. Figure out how to score some runs.
  3. Where does that bridge structure in all three photos lead? Is it for fishing or boat docking? Great photos, by the way. Can we rename the Center Street Bridge: "Bridge Over the River Cuy?" 😉
  4. WOW is right! I never realized that "comfortability" was a word. I would have written "comfort" or maybe "comfort level." Never too old to learn! LOL
  5. ^ and ^^ I am aware of all of those external effects. Even larger airports lost international flights temporarily for various reasons, (most recently from the pandemic), however, in Cleveland's case, the lost routes LGW, LHR, CDG, KEF) never returned.
  6. Cleveland's flights to London and Paris on Continental did not survive long term. The Reykjavic flights didn't either. I hope this new flight does, although I wonder what is different today that would enable that (after subsidies expire). I know that the 321Neo is more efficient than the old 757-200's were, but is that enough?
  7. Where would the residents go? What about the tower?

    ^Agreed, risky
  9. We were at the game last night. Beautiful evening. Lots of fans there. Great fireworks show afterwards. Unfortunately, the fireworks were limited to post game. How often do you have: 1. Nine hits and no runs scored. + 2. An error on a potential double play ball + 3. Two runs allowed on bases loaded walks + 4. Potential run scoring situations killed by a runner thrown out trying to steal second and two double plays turned against you? It was fun though. Hot dogs were tasty..
  10. I went to a family function in Toronto as a kid in 1958. It was dead. I was told that Torontonians would drive to Buffalo for amusement, lol. The turnaround took off in the mid 60's. I remember the construction of their new, at the time, city hall. Ottawa, my mom's home town, was similar. I remember that the drug stores ROTATED being open on Sunday, due to the blue laws. At that time Montreal was magical for me. Expo 67 was amazing. Unfortunately, some of the life was sucked out of it by the political climate, and the linguistic parochialism. It never felt the same after that. One of its charms for me had been the intermingling of the English and French styles. PS. For the transit riders here, one of Ottawa's charms was how riders would board busses. Rather than wedging in to the door, they would spontaneously form a line in the order of arrival at tthe bus stop, smooth, orderly, and polite.

3 first round draft picks? Sounds eerily familiar.
  12. Drove by on E 89th and Carnegie. Fence was going up around the P building. Rest in pieces.
  13. Whatever happened to tne Canon project in Fairfax? Was it ever really a thing?
  14. Are fixing and reopening Stones Levee past of this?
  15. These were taken at what time?
  16. I can't tell. Is what's labeled UH RBC on the map really Link 59?
  17. LOL: "Phase zero" is the perfect name for this garden. I look forward to phase minus 1!
  18. At the very least, they could turn the Shaker-Green line into a peak hour express with limited stops east of Shaker Square to serve commuters from the Heights and Hillcrest areas. Riding the 9 on Mayfield all the way to downtown is excrutiatingly slow. The old 9F used to be competitive with driving!
  19. The Ohio Supreme Court had the opportunity to hold the gerrymandering, I mean, redistricting committee, in contempt, but, for some reason, declined. Why? Also, I understand that the one Republican justice, who voted the map unconstitutional, is term liimited, and the GOP hopes her replacement will be more amenable to unfair districts.
  20. Ta daaaa. Gehring, by the Intro, is open. LOL, I drove on it today.
  21. Lol, don't forget that said bridge was shown while the Drew Carey show theme song was playing on the early episodes. That has to count for something. 😄
  22. It needs a barbed wire fence and watch towers. My first thought looking at it was: prison.
  23. I happened to drive by Valor Acres today on Miller Rd., and there was WCS identifying Sherwin Williams, whereas I do not see that at the downtown HQ site.
  24. Originally, the low part of the complex screamed "indoor recreation" at me. I suppose part of it could be used for hotel/residential amenities like meeting space, restaurant, pool, indoor tennis etc

LOL, is that you on the right?
