Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Could RTA better leverage its real estate holdings to create new income streams, like Playhouse Square does? Example: Ten story commercial and or residential buildings over the W25th and Lorain, W117th, and Van Aken/ Warrensville stations with indoor access to the trains.

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
^I wonder if ODOT plans to "third lane" I-70, where the rail would go, or is there enough room with a third lane?

Shaker Heights: Van Aken District Transit Oriented Development
^I assume there are apartments on the bridges. Those would be cool to live in.

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
If Brightline intended to serve this corridor, how would they do it, infrastructure-wise? Would the route be on existing trackage only, or would there be new development?

Orange Village: Pinecrest
I wish they would have taken over and improved the Aurora Outlets.

Ohio Education / School Funding Discussion
Hmmm, does this GOP lawmaker want the Ten Commandments posted, so that we are sure to observe and obey them all?, or, alternatively, to ignore and violate them all? Just asking based observations of current events.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
DeWine's statement makes me feel the move is fait accompli-ish. Think, parents to teen, "we're taking your driving priveleges away, but hey, you still have your bicycle." Wonder what is transpiring behimd the scenes.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
What's with that "Our Lady of Perpetual Clapboarding" on the corner of W 25th St and Chatham? The top floor appears to be occupied. That would seem to be a desirable spot for development.

Lidl was to build a store on Broadview Rd, but it was shelved, as the company dealt with their less than stellar U.S. rollout. I believe there is now a Tractor Supply in that spot. We go to Lidl, when in Wilmington, N.C. IMO, it is like Aldi, without the quarter for a cart nonsense, somewhat larger, with multiple "aisles of shame," and more unique, interesting food products.

Cleveland: Natural History Museum Renovation and Expansion
^As a museum member, I was worried that the museum would be "polished up," but "dumbed down." I hope I am wrong. I was last there, while construction was in progress.

^That rooftop bar is now only open for events.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
On Expedia.com, the guest rating for the Hotel Cleveland is 7.6 out of 10, based on 1002 reviews. For comparison, the Holiday Inn Express and the Indigo are rated 8.0 and 8.4 respectively, and the Hilton is rated 9.2. Something isn't up to snuff on Public Square. As for the W brand, I thought it was way up on the luxury scale, but a stay last December at the W on Lakeshore Dr. In Chicago burst that balloon. The standard room was small and the ambiance was blah. I hope what they develop in Erieview Tower is much better.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Shelter-wise, is that really the best they could do? They don't appear to offer even as much protection as the BRT shelters on Clifton and Euclid Avenues.

Is Gonçalves building an eleven million dollar home in Mt. Lebanon? I learned on UO, that's how you tell. 😋
