Akron: University of Akron: Development and News
The Mayor has been after a arena for awhile now.. and just recently UA signed an agreement with the city that when it builds a new arena to replace the JAR it will be built downtown... Maybe something similar to this .. http://www.osborn-eng.com/sports_akron_arena.html On that site there is also plans for a university soccer stadium.. Which wouldnt be too much of a stretch because UA is nationally ranked and would liked to stay that way.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
The bengals are living up to the city nickname.. "Nasti Nati" .. If the bengals want to contend for the division let alone a championship.. they need to lose the greediness (Ochocinco).. <Personally.. I let Chad start the first game.. every play.. and never give him a chance to touch the ball.. then see if he's in a better mood . ha ha> Right now it only looks like they will be competing with the ravens for last place in the division.. Shape up the Ship.!!.

AP declares Plain Dealer best large paper in Ohio
For me.. I can not stand the dispatch... I think the sectioning is in poor taste.. and it seems very plain.. I've never picked up a printing of the blade... The enquirer is very good story wise as is the Akron Beacon Journal.. The plain dealer is just as its name says ... Plain.!.

Twinsburg: Twinsburg Fashion Place
Im with ya that the non italian chains give have better, more fresh food.. I just like to see some chain places come into the immediate Akron Area. The national chain places to eat are generally fast food in Akron. I'd like to see a PF Changs in the new development or even a Bucca de Beppo.. BTW.. Cici's is nasty.. thats one pizza I cannot eat even if it is all-u-can-eat.

Akron: Lock 3 Park
Does anyone know what ever happened to the deal for Lock 3 in Downtown Akron. It was suppose to have 8 story condos with upscale stores on the first 2 levels with a cineplex and an Aquirum. I only heard a few things about that. Is it still on the drawing board or is it dead?

Akron,Cleveland, Youngstown Streetcars
if it took only 10-15 minutes to get to downtown Cleveland I'd be there alot. That sure would help the economics of DTCleve plus if Akron could build an enterainment complex different to Cleveland in retail and attractions Akron would benefit.

Twinsburg: Twinsburg Fashion Place
Theres how many malls in summit county. 3 with one being abandoned. All of which are mainly in or near by Akron. Correct me if I'm wrong but I would drive up to Twinsburg for a multi-level high end retail mall. Something of sorts of Kenwood Towne Center in Cincinnati. that would be nice.

Cincinnati: Retail News
The demographics of cincinnati does not appease to the Bass pro formula. People from SW Indiana drive over and people from NKY drive up as well as those from middle and SE ohio. My Buddy said they draw customers from an average of 80 miles with a larger target range of 150 miles or roughly a 2 hour drive. A move to West Chester puts them on a Major US highway plus they will not lose its existing customer base.

Cincinnati: Retail News
I talked to a buddy of mine yesterday about it. He is in the top management there at that Bass Pro. He says that the sales are steady but the store does not want to be associated with a declining shopping center. They want to stay in the area and prime locations being looked at are West Chester either by the Ikea or by the Rave Theatre. (this is confidental info yall)

Forest Park: Forest Fair Mall / Cincinnati Mills Redevelopment

Cincinnati: Retail News
I have heard a few rumors that the Bass Pro Shops have a plan to move to the West Chester area by the new Ikea store. Word has it that cincinnati mills will be going under again within the next two years and Bass Pro will be looking to be a foundation for a new shopping area along I-75.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
When I was at CCU.. We had a population project. and that was my topic of choice. so me and 2 other classmates went to PBS and did an exit poll after a bengals/browns game.. We got 3,782 people with bengals gear to stop and answer where they were from. and I was actually shocked to find out that most of them were families from KY.. the number was 1,137/Ohio 2,063/KY .. and 511 from IN and a the rest were from other states. I thought it was interesting.. thats why I shared that info..
