  1. Is Mayfield Station (apartments) open yet? I thought it was almost done---but now I'm seeing on their website that they were leasing for Summer 2019... "Welcome to Mayfield Station Apartments in Cleveland, Ohio! Located at the intersection of Little Italy and University Circle, Mayfield Station is now leasing for Summer 2019 occupancy!" https://www.mayfieldstation.com/
  2. I don't, but I am curious as well.
  3. WTF happened to Athersys today? It dropped 31%! https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ATHX?p=ATHX
  4. Which is the later/final version of Electric Gardens? The developer and the architect are showing different renderings: Architect: https://www.ldaarchitecture.com/electric-gardens Developer (as given to cleveland.com): https://www.cleveland.com/business/2019/06/tremonts-electric-gardens-development-moves-forward-with-nod-from-planning-commission.html
  5. ^That's great as it shows B6's interest in CLE and will hopefully eventually lead to more routes.
  6. ^Actually, he resigned because he got busted for doing it.
  7. Colors were selected to match the ship behind it. They only got the little bit of turquoise after a major exception was allowed.
  8. ^That would be great. A move from Brecksville is particularly sweet as they stole all those S&W research jobs.
  9. Where Downtown would they be?
  10. 300 jobs---even if all 300 are just one shift meaning 300 people all at once, why parking to accommodate 1200 cars? That's a lot of parking.
  11. It must be both, simultaneously. Having local restaurants and coffee shops and neighborhoody things MAKES a place desirable as a place to live. THAT will drive more residents, which then will drive more retail. I wouldn't mind living next to the Cuyahoga River. But I have absolutely no interest in living in FEB Phase 2 apartments as there's no neighborhood amenities. I would only live in any place that had at least a few things I could walk to (other than fancy restaurants). And I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands who are like me. Build up a cool place and people will want to live there. Now its like a weekend/party place, not a residential neighborhood. Both efforts (residential growth and cool and supporting retail) must be done together.
  12. Pugu replied to KJP's post in a topic in City Photos - Ohio
    Very cool photo!
  13. ^They have no website despite having "huletthotel.com" on the picture above. And the facebook last post was in 2018. I hope it does happen, though it doesn't look like a covid-related delay as its been radio silence since 2018.
  14. As long as its somewhere. but on the other point the punch bowl space is giant and should be broken up if not for a similar use. it would be very difficult for a single bar or restaurant to fill that space---it would be, what 800 chairs in a restaurant? Maybe it could be an event space for live music--im not that familiar with its layout as I was only there once.
  15. That punch bowl space is giant. A better use of it would be some much -needed retail to make it a true neighborhood. A bunch of smaller restaurants, a coffee shop, a juice shop, a few stores, a drug store, laundromat, etc.
  16. ^Are those numbers in thousands? Or is education really just $6M? And if so, are the schools a separate entity in Columbus? I can't image the schools operating on just $6M. Maybe that's what the city directly gives to the board of education and for programming, as opposed to the full amount that is spent on the schools.
  17. ^oh, thanks. I didn't realize it was already posted! Though, I guess the Crains article is a new addition.
  18. Townhouses to replace junkyard at 2300 Fulton. "...Townhouses in the $300,000 price range are proposed by Knez Homes of Concord Township for the nearly 3-acre site at 2300 Fulton Road. The parcel was for decades the home of Fulton Road Auto Wrecking, which was shut down in the 1990s for environmental infractions and efforts by the Ohio City Inc. neighborhood group...." https://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/redo-proposed-former-ohio-city-junkyard
  19. Do other cities (outside of ohio) have residency requirements and if so, what is the basis of Ohio supreme court's argument---just state preference? I personally had no issues with Cleveland's residency rules. By the way--when the law was in place--they did give leniency on residency for cops to be in surrounding suburbs as CPD has issues in recruiting.
  20. ^So, are you saying, Cleveland can still have residency requirements for city workers, but is just not allowed to enforce them? If not enforceable, are they still useful? For example, can the requirements be used to deny someone a job because they don't live in the city? Could raises or other benefits be given to those in the city but not others on the basis of residency?
  21. ^I've never heard of them---but googling them now I see its a giant chain--so that alone should temper food quality expectations. But, at the very least, I'd expect to the beer to be good!
  22. infrafreak---cool! it worked. Thanks. Tested it in both firefox and chrome. cool tool, thanks for developing and sharing.
  23. It worked for me on Firefox---highlighting the code and dragging it to the bookmarks bar. But trying the exact same thing on Chrome didn't do anything. It its helpful to know, I'm running OS Catalina. (Catalina's been a pain for MANY many things.)
  24. This didn't work. I grabbed the text and could see it being 'transported' but when I let go of the mouse on the bookmarks on the tool bar nothing happed. Am using Chrome.
  25. Great, thank you for this. I will definitely try it out. And in addition to the code, thanks for the line by line instructions.
