Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Its not difficult to limit the number of people who enter a business establishment. You saying Giant Eagle or Heinens or little hardware stores or bike shops have more muscle than a restaurant or bar?

Question about facebook. On Townhall's facebook page there are reviews. This is what the first one says: "Overrated and unsanitary with garbage management...." Don't businesses control their own facebook pages? If so, wouldn't townhall (or any business) just delete all negative comments and leave only the good ones? And if so, why would anyone place a negative review on a company's facebook page--unless maybe to tell them what they're thinking. Or are reviews real and can't be controlled by the facebook page holder?

that's very true! and its so scary how the trump supporters feel necessary to advertise that they are such. Glad Channel 3 has picked this up: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/townhall-general-manager-accused-of-making-racist-remark-following-reports-of-large-crowds-at-the-restaurants-patio/95-3a026ff2-1f96-4507-b12b-7257ee783b95

All restaurants, bars, and places of businesses that aren't following the rules should be called out on. Report every instance to CDPH (or the proper county board of health if in the burbs) AND the Ohio Dept of Health, and to the media, and on social media. I purposely am staying in as much as possible, but if I see anything, I will certainly report it. By either being Fox news followers, brainwashed/braindead Trump followers, or just trying to make a buck, these business owners/managers will kill innocent people. These people need to be exposed.

I didn't realize Cleveland Pickle moved. Where did they go? I know they had a place in Lakewood, but I thought that it was an additional--not a replacement--location. I liked their sandwiches thought they put too much sauce on them if you didn't tell them otherwise. Very happy to hear about a jerk chicken place opening as I love jerk chicken. I've been meaning to try the new jerk chicken place in Old Brooklyn--iRiE Jamaican Chicken.

I like Crain's but, when I first saw this news, I thought it was good---competition is good. Then I saw that it was by Shi$$y Advance, the Staten Island owner of cleveland.com & the PD---the company that has royally screwed the plain dealer continuously---its last move was telling the remain 10 or so reporters they're not allowed to cover cleveland or cuyahoga county. instead of this business paper they could take them same resources and undo some of the damage done to the PD. but instead they think they steal market share from crain's and make more money. They'll probably use the same reporters they already have.

^That's great background and info about the space, thank you. And yes, that ceiling pattern does look like a necktie!

@KJP -- Thanks---Yes, I think that was it -- in my memory, it was even grander, but I think that was it. Funny, no google search on 'midland bank' brought that image up or even mentioned its current use.....strange. Good to see it hasn't been destroyed.

In the Huntington Bank thread there is a discussion on the use of the old bank lobbies---Huntington and NCB/Marble Room. That got me thinking. In the Midland Building there was a very beautiful bank lobby for Midland Bank. Anyone know the space and its current condition? Hopefully it's still in tact. Once Sherwin Williams moves to its new HQ, I hope that old bank lobby space is used for something cool and that it still exists. It too could be a fancy restaurant and the building itself a hotel or condos. I looked for a photo of the bank lobby, but could not find a single one other than a construction photo: https://clevelandmemory.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/cut/id/4785/rec/3

But isn't the typical way to do this is to do a reverse split? So if you have 100 shares at 3.75 and a company wants to lower it to 2.50 and float more shares, you now have 100x(3.75/2.50) or 150 shares?

Ohio Census / Population Trends & Lists
The US in 2020 will show probably even slower growth than 2019 as COVID-19--already 31,000 deaths in the US, plus probably lower immigration to the US because of Trump in general and because of the economic slowdown in the US per because of Trump's COVID-19 mistakes.

I don't understand this. So the stock was at 3.10 at yesterday's close. Then the company itself offers shares for 2.25---doesn't that screw all the existing shareholders who had the stock at 3.10? And they've done this before? Why would anyone want to buy shares in such a company? Is this a common practice?

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
This is a good idea for RTA to protect drivers from COVID-19---but they'd have to suspend fare collection first, like other agencies have done: "Laketran: Effective Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Laketran is suspending fare collection for all services until Thursday, April 30, 2020. Effective Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Route 13 is suspended. Routes 10-12 will operate on a modified schedule. Effective April 1, 2020—Passengers other than those who require the ADA ramp or bus kneeling can enter from the bus’s front door (near the bus operator). All other passengers must enter through the rear door." https://www.centerforcleveland.org/covid-19
