  1. What city in Ohio?
  2. thanks. never heard of that piece of equipment before.
  3. ^I take it "E" stands for Engine. What does "M" stand for?
  4. The name "Republic" reminds me of "District" which, if its still there, is across the street. Is District a Driftwood restaurant also? Not sad to see Otto Mosers go. The original one was cool, but the one at Playhouse Sq was just ordinary and greasy food.
  5. Or add a milk and beef bar and spell it the Moos of Lakewood.
  6. I love it too. I hope it get built as shown.
  7. It could be used for something like a data center in the interior--which doesn't need windows. And then the center could be wrapped on all four sides by offices, residential, or some other use, with a hallway on all four sides of the multi-story data center.
  8. Was that place going to have country music? If so, thank God it didn't happen. Its not bad news--its good news!
  9. Love the ten--thank you so much. In this case, functionality is more meaningful that design if the only design impact is that the page is a little longer vertically than otherwise. Please consider keeping ten through the new main page redesign. Thanks again for this improvement!
  10. It no longer appears as a non-stop.
  11. And for today's announcement, MORE flights to Charleston. Allegiant announced 2x weekly to Charleston beginning June 6 and 2x weekly to Norfolk, VA beginning June 7th. Both cities are seasonal. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/flights/todayinthesky/2019/01/15/allegiant-air-16-new-routes-including-alaska-flights/2576112002/
  12. Site improvement suggestion: On the main page (urbanohio.com), could we show the TEN most recent posts? It used to be that way, but now it only shows five. I used that page to see the latest 'news' and discussions---and would look at those of the 10 I was interested in. Now, with five its not readily easy to see what's new. Even when I comment on something (Hopkins Airport) I see it disappears from the main page within minutes as other topics take over---so its probably difficult for other people as well to see the latest topics unless they go into the longer page and scroll along every topic heading to see if something new was written within one of the main subject headings. It was far easier before. Could we make this tiny adjustment? Would be a great improvement. Thanks for considering it.
  13. Looks like there was a Frontier announcement after all: 2x Weekly to Charleston--Thursday and Sunday--starting May 2 3x Weekly to San Francisco, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday--starting Apr 30 Year-Round Extension on Sarasota and Punta Cana Termination of Portland San Diego--was reloaded for the summer Added frequency to Austin, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh and Tampa https://www.cleveland.com/business/2019/01/frontier-airlines-adding-flights-from-cleveland-hopkins-to-charleston-sc-san-francisco-dropping-portland.html
  14. New eatery at Hopkins: Embers. Located just on the secure side of B Security. Annoying photo.
  15. Raleigh, NC
  16. Oh. Well, it's back this year! (so its still considered a "schedule add" in airlines parlance). regarding the other rumor of a press conference this week for more F9 adds, not sure now if that's happening, as I was expecting that for earlier today.
  17. Frontier adds CLE-RDU, 4x/weekly starting May 1, as part of a buildup at RDU. F9 also added RDU-BOS, -PHL, and TPA. On the CLE front, F9 is expected to have a press conference this week--probably tomorrow (Tues) for some CLE adds.
  18. "A year or so doesn't seem like a long time to me in filling an unexpected vacancy for a major public sector agency." I respectfully disagree.
  19. Regarding "take a year or more," is that an industry standard or a Cleveland thing of being so slow? Seems unnecessarily long. It took Jackson over a year to hire a new airport director when Ricky Smith left. That's crazy long and I doubt that in other major cities it would have been the same.
  20. Did RTA ever announce a replacement for Calabrese? its been a while now.
  21. Dougal--interesting comparison, thanks. As metro Cleveland extends into, at the very least, Summit and Portage counties, can you re-run your Cleveland number as the full 7-county area?
  22. I agree with this. SPAs and neighborhoods are different things, though City Planning tries to blend them together, but doing so makes both inaccurate. The city COULD do a better job, for example by not trying to make them all the same size. If Little Italy is only a few blocks, so be it. Let that be an SPA, keeping it separate from "University Circle"--which they call "University". Another approach is to keeps SPAs as they are---just 'districts' for data purposes---and whose geography will only really be known and used by planners--and have clear neighborhood maps/boundaries for everyone else.
  23. SPAs are comprised of census tracts i think so the data can be analyzed. So if part of a "neighborhood" in the traditional sense is divided into two census tracts, a section of that part of the neighborhood would be excluded OR a section of the adjacent area that is not part of the neighborhood would be included.
  24. ^That's cool. Will it be based in Cleveland again or in Nashville where his son lives?
