  1. ^what does that mean? That the school acknowledges that they don't have authority anyway or that the project isn't asking for the tif anymore?
  2. ^, ^^just curious, what to you guys is an ideal grocery store? I think Giant Eagle is fine.
  3. ^Great news as I love the noodle concept and was sad to see it leave Downtown.
  4. I have the exact same perception. If two of us on this small board share the same perspective, it shows that, if its not true, Crowne Plaza, has a lot of work to do to fix this perception. When I look for a non-full Hilton or Marriott type hotel, I look for a Hampton Inn or a Fairfield Inn. Crowne Plaza never even crosses my mind.
  5. ^Not necessarily. It could be AS as well, as they serve SLC to about five cities.....So, it'd be great to see AS announce CLE- SLC/PDX/SEA/SAN.
  6. ^worldwide or just CLE? To me, Wyndhams are much nicer than Crown Plazas---don't like this change.
  7. ^Its only two more than Atlanta, the biggest airport in the US.
  8. ^I'd love to see AS announced this week (someone said another announcement is coming) with CLE- PDX/SEA/SAN. All three daily. If not that, then B6 to JFK and LGB.
  9. FI already flies to Anchorage and Seattle and Chicago--so AS doesn't need CLE for a connection to Iceland. If AS starts CLE it would be because they thought it was smart to do so (which it is), but not because of FI.
  10. ^"Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has landed another big one" what was the previous win?
  11. ^Ok, thanks. I feel better!
  12. ^"A spokeswoman said via email that Clarion "now has a majority stake" in AML RightSource" That's not good.....another CLE company owned by someone else who could just move it out of the city.
  13. ^But it doesn't say "Revolutionizing" it says something else that I don't think is a word.
  14. ^I'd be surprised if they use a 767 for the route. It may be that the person in charge of the twitter account doesn't really know---as he/she was actually posed a leading question, "B757 or B767?" instead of "what type of equipment will you use?"

^you can't buy furniture by looking online. You can't see the real finish quality or stability. Take IKEA, for example---some stuff looks great online---when I went to check it out--I didn't like it. I'd rather have a full-sized Ikea here than some smaller, lesser version.
  16. KJP---re the photo of the bus a fe posts above, what does that destination sign say? Is it a typo on the bus or is that intentional? Is it supposed to be "revolutionizing"?
  17. The 2.2MM is only the Cleveland/Elyria MSA which doesn't even include Summit County, which is 20 minutes from downtown CLE. Add Akron (Summit) metro =2.9MM. Add Canton - and you have 3.5MM+ within an hour of airport. Lots of folks. Not sure why nobody gets the right, even locally. NEO isn't as tidily wrapped up onto one city like Columbus, etc... From an "Air market" perspective, we are about a 4.5MM city. But when I talk about CLE in general, I consider it to be the city and seven immediately surrounding counties---so 3MM people. The CLE MSA boundary is dead wrong--and should include summit and portage--if it did (and Akron politicians weren't trying to destroy the region from an image perspective by insisting that CLE suburbs in Summit county are not part of metro cleveland), then there would be less confusion about the population of "Cleveland" which is 3mm.
  18. instead of 3 million! (And the plain dealer, in its infinite wisdom, REPEATED that incorrect number in its story about the new service!)
  19. ^not likely. Pre-clearance is expensive and would have to be funded by them. Plus it doesn't work well with what the airline wants. If you want to connect in KEF from Europe---the connection could not be a simple 1-2 hours---it would have to be long enough for people to clear immigration which could take hours. A headache, FI would not want. On the traveler side, I'd MUCH rather clear CPB in CLE than in KEF.
  20. ^Me too. I'm doing ALL my CLE-Europe flights on this routing.
  21. Most folks who fly into Keflavik Airport are not staying in Iceland but then taking another flight on Icelandair to European destinations. We have flown them once, not a bad stop over of a couple hours to stretch the legs and walk around before continuing on to final destination. Yes---and this allows people to avoid JFK/EWR/ORD/ATL/YYZ/DTW, etc.
  22. Look at the Cuyahoga in the link (http://www.mbl.is/vidskipti/frettir/2017/08/22/icelandair_hefur_flug_til_cleveland/). Finally a photo that accurately depicts how blue the water is!
  23. ^Happy to provide! Just checked their website---CLE is not on it yet. I assume it will be updated soon. http://www.icelandair.us/
  24. 4x weekly. Begins in May 2018.
