  1. That route only started in February.
  2. Using Google Earth, you CAN see cars on the roads.
  3. I thought GE already spun it out into a new organization called "Current by GE"
  4. 700 jobs in one year ain't much for a market of 2.1M people...
  5. Ohio police pull over a car where 90 and 77 merge----and this results in other cars crashing into them. Why the hell is state police pulling cars over in such a location? And even moreso, why are Ohio Troopers operating in the city of cleveland? They belong in the boonies where they used to be. Now, they're causing injuries and unsafe conditions? This shows they don't belong in the city. WTF? http://fox8.com/2017/03/24/video-shows-chain-reaction-crash-on-downtown-cleveland-highway/
  6. ^that's interesting that the Terminal Tower ranks 13th! With its esteemed status and height, one would have thought it would be higher on the list. (I know, its even lower if that list is old and some floors are being converted to apartments.) Wish Crain's would have put a date on that list.
  7. Sherwin-Williams postpones Valspar purchase until June Deal was supposed to close by end of April. http://www.startribune.com/sherwin-williams-postpones-valspar-purchase-until-june/416733083/
  8. That's great if true. But where did you get the "actual" numbers? Census is 2010 and 2020. Are you citing Census Bureau estimates or an actual census that the City, or DCA or somebody did?

^Excellent. That makes Burke the 382nd biggest airport for passenger departures in the US. Hopkins ranks 45th....(was around 36th/38th with the CO hub).

^Ah! I thought you took it. I see the credit now. I guess you're right on location--looks like those new townhomes between Euclid and Chester in the 80s in the foreground. Thanks.

An article in today's PD says, "Gov. Kasich appoints Ronald J. O'Leary as Cleveland Housing Court judge" (http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2017/03/gov_kasich_appoints_ronald_j_o.html). This is one of the city's municipal courts---why does the governor have any role in appointing the judge? If anyone appoints a judge, it should be the mayor of the city, not the governor of the state. Can anyone explain why Kasich has this authority--and why Jackson doesn't? Certainly seems like that State is way overstepping its place here. :wtf:
  13. ^I do. There was a Cardinal Federal Bank and on that corner--a one or two-story bldg that was pretty decent and right up to the sidewalk if i remember it correctly.
  14. First of all, there's no real difference between the two. But even if there is, yes, the restaurant at Pearl & W130 is parma hts (unless its in Middleburg, depending which side of 130 its own, but everyone says--'go to that place in Parma....'), but the mosque and the temple are both in the City of Parma, not parma hts.
  15. Sorry if this has already been answered---if the Feds wanted their $ back because it was for the BRT project---wasn't that a long time ago? Isn't there a rule that Federal money must be used as requested for seven years and after that cities are no longer obligated to it? I wish Jackson would have stuck to his guns. He almost---for the first time--was showing some leadership.
  16. Parma may not be as walkable as other places, but its a safe and affordable community, and certainly not any less boring than Solon which is also not very walkable. Parma does indeed have diversity. In addition to an Eastern European vibe, it also has one the best Indian restaurants in Cleveland (around W130 & Pearl), and has the largest Hindu temple in Cleveland AND the largest mosque in Cleveland. If the poster wants to remain east, I'd say Shaker Hts or Cleveland Hts; or somewhere in University Circle though for UC--schools should be researched.
  17. Why are they talking all the space for the little building? that's prime riverfront property on the downtown side of the river. Would make for a wonderful cafe or something like that........so typical of this city...no vision.
  18. ^What kind of idiot leaves a car--a Porsche SUV no less--running and walks into a store? I hope her car is never found and the insurance doesn't pay her a dime.

  21. The last comment (at the moment), says: "Top of the Hill in cleveland hts about to be the largest investment in cleveland hts since severance at around 100 million" What's Top of the Hill?
  22. its taking forever!
