January 31, 200817 yr Thank Kingfish! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
February 3, 200817 yr The cities list on the main page is now fuctional, meaning if you click on a city, it will take you to that cities photo page on the gallery.
February 8, 200817 yr I want to see someone do Gnadenhütten. Why don't you do it and we'd just add you on to the UrbanOhio Photographer team? "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
February 12, 200817 yr Yeah, but it's sooo far away (2 hr drive) and it's cold. I thought that's why we have members in the Akron/Canton area. :-D But I will get around to doing never-before-seen-on-UrbanOhio town threads, it's just that I'd prefer to do those within a 30-mile radius. Or maybe I'm too lazy and cheap.
March 20, 200817 yr I'd like to know the mods/admins view on adding new "building height" assignments for post. We've have a growing number of posters and maybe taking a second look at this current designation indicators or eliminating them all together could be discussed.

March 20, 200817 yr great. Also, whats up with the forum layout. I noticed the ads are now in a different location
March 20, 200817 yr Just messing with the settings. I will probably upgrade the forum to the 2.0 release soon.

June 20, 200816 yr A google map feature that ties into the official UO pics for cities/neighborhoods/suburbs. Like you click on a neighborhood on the map and then it links to that neighborhood's pics. It would be a great resource for anyone wanting to check out the huge variety of neighborhoods we have especially in our largest cities. This feature would make it easier for me and anyone else to figure out where these places are so that I can better plan an itinerary. It would be much more useful than what official tourism organizations currently offer. I'll make them, I just need a neighborhood map so I can o the boundaries and link to them.
June 22, 200816 yr More default avatars representing mid-sized Ohio cities as well...Dayton for example.

December 30, 200816 yr Buy us one. There are tons of different reliable servers for the same amount of what you're paying now, I'm sure.

December 30, 200816 yr Nell Carter should never but used on this site, ever. Ever! "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

December 31, 200816 yr Have you guys looked at IX Webhosting or Hostmonster? Both of those providers are shared servers. We would be kicked off in a matter of days if we tried to use either of them. We need a dedicated server and have outgrown our current dedicated. I've got something in the works and we should be switched over within a month.

December 31, 200816 yr Currently we only use about 150-200 GB a month but BW isnt our problem. It's RAM and processor, now we only have 1GB and a 1.6Ghz sempron.
January 16, 200916 yr since i like to use a variety of different sized photos in photo threads i have a request -- if it's possible. i would like to see the 'preview' exactly match the final 'posted' version. for example, sometimes a group of three photos fits fine on one line on the preview, but then when the final thread is posted one pops down. it's frustrating, i can never get a handle on why that happens. thx
March 6, 200916 yr Here is a new theme SMF will be including in the 2.0 release. Curve: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?P=97687ad9aa909be58d7bf6f21927f01e&topic=293556.0
March 8, 200916 yr it would be really perfect , if user would write a little more , where are all these locations and where are these cities .. perhaps name of the city and the street name .. internet is international and not everyone knows where to find things .. thank you ...
March 8, 200916 yr Twitter Profile http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1351 Currently this is not compatible with the version of SMF we're using.
August 29, 201014 yr I thought I would ask.. what about adding the possibility of "liking" or "promoting" someones comment? Many times I have liked, or even just laughed at, someones comment. BUT I did not want to prolong the thread even more by posting a comment of "haha" or "McCleveland +1!" I would like to be able to show my support or agreement, without worrying about taking a thread off-topic, or giving the moderators extra work when thread-cleaning. If you want an example look at the comment sections over at Deadspin. A "promote this comment" button, which would publicly show my support of a comment, is what I want to see!!!! :) pretty please? *Scav promotes this comment*
August 30, 201014 yr No, sorry. We tried the karma points one time and it went sour. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
September 28, 201014 yr Is there a way to "ignore" certain threads so that they don't show up when I click "unread posts since your last visit"? It's not that big of a deal for me to skip over these threads, but it would be nice to have the option of not knowing when the Tea Party thread has another new comment.
September 28, 201014 yr I was thinking the same thing. I just want to check the Ohio specific stuff, planning, construction and transit.
September 28, 201014 yr There is a notify button which will notify(email) you when there are new replies, but I don't think you can pick and choose which threads show up in your view replies since last visit...unless you try to ignore specific sections, then it might work.
October 5, 201014 yr Ignoring specific sections might do the trick, but alas, I don't know how to do that either. Hm.
October 5, 201014 yr I want to see large pictures automatically resized, so I don't have to scroll to view the whole thing. I don't know if that happens in IE, but it doesn't in Firefox or Chrome.
October 8, 201014 yr "differing".... or "hateful"? I would say that differing opinions can be found on just about every topic possible here on UO, and such differing opinions are what makes this such a strong site. The political threads used to lean left, but now they actually lean right given the "ethusiasm gap".... and Scrabble's endless bombardment of far-right wing fringe op-eds :) Discussion is always good, no matter how much you may disagree. Hateful opinions are attacked and, oftentimes, removed. Nothing wrong with being intollerant of intollerance if you ask me. JMO. I'm not a mod, nor could I or would I ever be one. You may also find that certain opions that are either contrary to established facts or misrepresentative of established facts are 'shouted down' (if that is even possible on an internet message board). But the forumers who make those posts usually are aware (I have to think) they are trying to mislead and deserve what they get.
October 15, 201014 yr Hi, people out there! Your site seems to be the most active so excuse me if I just jump in with a topic: I'm new and new to the Mid-West, Ohio, and Cleveland. Just got a job ... I think. Thought I'd try living downtown. It looks like Cleveland is TRYING to rebuild ... Where does one shop around here? I haven't a clue!
