Posted March 6, 201015 yr 75% of the Cook County Hospital last year was demolished except for the historically significant front portion of the building. For awhile, it looked like the Beaux Art facade was doomed, but commissioners approved a $108 restoration of the facade and construction of a new office building behind it. This is huge news in Chicago preservation. It's an incredible building that will have a new life. Photo
