April 25, 200619 yr ^You sure do get around  I thought so too, then ColDay post photos from every city other than New Orleans on here. :-)
April 25, 200619 yr ^ Explain the map roadfan. All the places you have been? That's my counties visited map. Previously I used this image for my screenshot as well (The then abandoned Ship Hotel along US 30/Lincoln Highway in Pennsylvania, circa 2000) You've never been to Florida!? Everyone's been to Florida, if for no other reason than to visit their grandparents.
April 26, 200619 yr ^ My car refuses to go there. Both times I planned to visit Florida, I encountered car trouble and cut the trip short. I guess I could of tagged along with several friends from LSU who went to Florida for spring break, but I have no money for that right now. P.S. Other than for an aunt on my Dad's side of the family, I have no family in Florida to visit. Both sets of Grandparents stayed "up north" (Hiram for my dad's, Main Line Philadelphia for my mom's)
April 26, 200619 yr well there it is. i finally had a chance to screw around and figure this out. i got it to save in ms paint, but then imageshack, my host, would not resize it -- so i used infraview which works great. hats off to monte, his cool & colorful shot is one of my longest lasting screensavers -- usually they only last a week or so:
April 30, 200619 yr mynyc, This one is for you. Some of the quality was sacrificed to bring out the colors.
April 30, 200619 yr ^ I think you sacrificed too much quality there, Monte. I'm getting the dreaded Red X instead of your screenshot.
May 3, 200619 yr Yeah, the roof line of Union Terminal is one my favorite Desktop Backgrounds that I have on rotation.
August 5, 200618 yr i just figured out & downloaded a tool from my host imageshack called 'quickshot' thats lets you take easy screenshots. works great! i think unicorns are kick ass!* *thats from orgazmo (1997) a movie by the southpark guys
October 16, 200618 yr New computer - new desktop. Just snagged this off NASA's astronomy pic of the day http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html
October 21, 200618 yr This is kind of cheating but I am going to do it anyway. I don't know how to "print screen" on a mac so I am putting up the picture that is my background. It's from when I visited Riomagiorre, Italy.
October 21, 200618 yr dag It LOOKS like Italy To take a picture of the whole screen, press Command-Shift-3. To take a picture of part of the screen, press Command-Shift-4, then drag to select the area you want in the picture. To take a picture of a window, the menu bar, the Dock, or other area, press Command-Shift-4, then press the Space bar. Move the pointer over the area you want so that it's highlighted, then click. If you decide you want to drag to select the area, press the Space bar again. If you press Command-Shift-4 and decide you don't want to take the screen shot, press the Escape key. Screen shots are saved as files on the desktop. If you want to put the screen shot in the Clipboard, rather than create a file, hold down the Control key when you press the other keys. You can then paste the picture into a document.

October 21, 200618 yr Thank You :-D. It's not exactly origional as a lot of postcards look like this.
October 28, 200618 yr Yeah it blows hardcore. It's suppose to be a very "passive" program but its not at all
January 17, 200718 yr Sure...why not. This is my work computer. I'll show home later on. :-P Nice red X. :?
January 18, 200718 yr Your welcome. Its actually a Live Desktop (one of the few things I actually like about M$) of this web page: http://parole.aporee.org/ Plus Google desktop on the left. Check out that site, it is really a cool tool to use if you are into Planning and Urban Theory.
January 21, 200718 yr David, I've seen a picture of Chicago from that exact same location before, but at night. I recognize all the buildings in the immediate foreground. Where was that taken?
January 21, 200718 yr Damn. I've been trying to find out that location for awhile. Guess I'll have to measure the angle of the perspective and draw lines on a map. Seriously, that is one great view of the city.
January 21, 200718 yr ^ If you find out, I would love to know that location. I have a feeling it might be a private location, but if not I'll hit it up the next time I'm in Chicago.
January 22, 200718 yr its weird rando, when i first saw your desktop pic, i momentarily assumed it was music hall in cincy. it kind of looks like that setting though, and shows what that area could be.
January 22, 200718 yr its weird rando, when i first saw your desktop pic, i momentarily assumed it was music hall in cincy. it kind of looks like that setting though, and shows what that area could be. Thats a pretty optimistic statement...but I like it!!
January 31, 200718 yr This is a new/cleaner one that I have now...this is Madrid, Spain (you can see the city on the horizon)
January 31, 200718 yr No! Randy doesn't travel! Except on the basketball court. If he did take that I'm gonna be pissed!
January 31, 200718 yr No unfortunately I didn't take that RV...but David, I'm gonna be in Chicago the week after next...then off to Philly...then Alexandria...and then Detroit before the Spring Quarter starts up.
February 1, 200718 yr Im going to friggin Chicago THIS weekend... strange. I hope the weather is bearable. Are you going to the National Planning Conference in Philly or just going? The next planning conference is in Vegas... :] I'll definitely be going to the Vegas conference.
February 1, 200718 yr ^I'll be at them both of them. Who else on the forum is going? (New Thread?) Good idea.... http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=11840.msg159268#new
May 21, 200718 yr theguv, How does one get that Cleveland view? That has to be my favorite angle yet.
