Posted March 24, 201015 yr After having my car broken into, I spent the day having my vehicle cleaned and new glass installed. I lost my tripod and ball-head, an event lens that I kept in the car for quick access, and some sundries. I decided that a trip to Columbus, Ohio's Midwest Photo Exchange was in order for a replacement tripod -- yes, I'll drive to Columbus from Cincinnati for some damn good deals on new and used equipment. B&H and Adorama can't seem to match most of their prices. While I was up there, I met up with a friend in Short North and dined at the Northstar Cafe, and then went on a night-time photographic shoot of downtown Columbus. It certainly helped raise my dampened spirits! A view down North Front Street towards the LeVeque Tower. Three Nationwide Plaza and the William Green Building along North Front Street. March 24, 201015 yr You definitely made the best of it. Great shots. I LOVE night shots and they are even better B&W. Sorry about your equipment getting stolen, though. That really sucks. Oh, and I am currently looking at their online store. You're about their deals... Very good prices.
March 25, 201015 yr Beautiful photos. I'm sorry to hear about the breakin. That happened to me a couple of years ago while on vacation in Lacaster, PA. I didn't lose anything of marketable value, but an irreplaceable book on family genealogy was in a briefcase that was taken. Sucks to discover something like that.
August 12, 201014 yr There's more than office buildings, just FYI. I'm surprised no one has done the bustling night spots like the gay bar district on N 5th, err, "Warehouse District" (which has more gay bars than warehouses).
August 12, 201014 yr Does the glass elevator still work on the Nationwide Plaza Building? Is there still a restaurant on top? Used to love that!
