March 26, 201015 yr mrnyc : No its not in South Paterson , there is no such thing as southern Paterson there was a West Paterson in-till last year , but now its called Woodlawn Park. Its located in Watchung Mountains in West Orange , just of I-280. The one your thinking of is Garret Mountain in Paterson, i do have pictures form that as well. There kinda on the same system of mountains. natininja : I will get to Newark Penn, on this update. When i go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in a few weeks and when i do that , i will walk a few neighborhoods. Since Newark is a safer city now i can do so much more. March 29, 201015 yr Great, great thread. I wish I got to see Eagle Rock Reservation. My brother went there a bunch of times. And Downtown Newark looks pretty nice. The only places I have been in Newark were the Essex line on the way to NYC, and have driven through Clinton Hill to get to UMDNJ from 24. Not as nice as what you just pictured haha...

April 6, 201015 yr nice job. where did you take those? i'd guess some were from liberty state park or thereabouts.
April 6, 201015 yr Nexis, James St. starts at Washington Park by the library in downtown Newark. (It's across the park from Broad St., just a couple blocks down from the Broad St. train station.) The nicest stretch is probably between University and Burnet, and I wouldn't bother going further than the far corner of Dr. MLK Blvd. You may be interested in this:
April 13, 201015 yr some photos i took of the Cherry Blossom trees at Newark's Branch Brook Park on Sunday :-D I'll add more later :-) ~Corey

May 27, 201015 yr So cool to see some "up north" shots of my home state :) How is the new Devils arena? It looks pretty sweet from the NJ Transit.
May 28, 201015 yr It is a Unique side of Newark , but 90% of the North Ward Section looks like that. The East & South Wards do as well , but the West Ward looks like a dump still. Branch Brook Park station Tunnel Vision - filmed in the Underground part of the Newark City subway. I like the way it came actually. :-) Up Next : Downtown Newark
July 5, 201014 yr ironbound looks great. not a fan of the banners. but the district...huge fan from what I can see here.
July 6, 201014 yr Great stuff! You know it may be easier to read if you post the neighborhoods seperately. Just a suggestion...
July 11, 201014 yr Replies urbanforever : Now i have more detailed photos of Urban Jersey Neighborhoods i will post them in separate updates. atlas : Whats wrong with the banners ? July 13, 201014 yr Great! This is very exciting to learn so much about New Jersey's urban cities and neighborhoods. They really get overshowed by the other big east coast cities.
July 14, 201014 yr very nice. the monaco towers are very visible from my side of the river. ive been constantly gawking at them going up. i am really overdo for some grocery shopping at the mighty seabras and afterward a stop in at brazilia grill!

August 9, 201014 yr Ive been going to Rahway lately..... Downtown Rahway Future site of condos Rahway Station Amtrak Regional # 917 Passing Rahway Amtrak Regional # 917 Passing Rahway Amtrak Keystone # 940 Amtrak Keystone # 940 Express NEC Arrows Passing Rahway Express NEC Arrows Passing Rahway Amtrak Acela Express # 2010 passing Rahway Amtrak Acela Express # 2010 passing Rahway Amtrak Regional # 939 Roaring past Rahway w/ Hornage Amtrak Regional # 939 Roaring past Rahway w/ Hornage Overall i was impressed with Rahway , it seems to be cleaning up its act and becoming a mini JC in the process. It seems every since they redid there station things have been better there. Linden looks the same way. NJ has a tale of 2 cities problem , the bad side is shown form the highways and the good form the Railways. The Problem is that most of the state takes the highways.... ~Corey
