It's really no different than the fear-mongering left claiming that Bush was a fascist, megalomaniac who wasn't going to give up power at the end of his presidential term and oppress all that opposed him.

 

That both parties are willing to go to such extremes to rally their bases and pick-up votes is a sad commentary on the state of politics in the US.

Easy for you to say.  You are not the guy who had his balls crushed at Abu Ghraib.
