*** we’re walking east to west, much more of good old bed-stuy brooklyn to come in part three***

How has the economy affected the movement of the Black middle class into Bed-Stuy?  I know that was a trend that had picked up quite a bit of steam during the real estate boom.

^There's been a lot foreclosure activity in Bed Stuy (by NYC standards; NYC has been relatively unscathed by foreclosure compared to rustbelt cities); and the tightening of the mortgage market has slowed down home purchasing quite a bit.

And then you also have the renovation issues: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/01/nyregion/01brownstone.html?ref=realestate

Cool neighborhood!

A lot of Cincy and Newport, KY in these ... lovin' this tour!
