April 12, 201015 yr My favorite building downtown. I remember the security guard giving us an incredible architectural tour of this building. I think he was making a book about it.
April 12, 201015 yr "Absolutely loved this urban graveyard!" thanks, very reminiscent of both St. Paul's and Trinity Church's graveyards in Lower Manhattan. http://www.mainstreetpainesville.org/
April 14, 201015 yr Downtown's looking pretty good, and you even avoided some of the more touristy areas!
April 14, 201015 yr Absolutely loved this urban graveyard! Agreed. I LOVE Downtown Pittsburgh...the architecture is so diverse! Quick question...the former Alcoa Headquarters was "given?" to Pittsburgh area nonprofits/civic boosters to use for office space...creating a nonprofit/innovation hub (i believe the rents are favorable as well). Since the Ameritrust Tower in Cleveland is empty and owned by the county (and now asbestos free), could this be a model to bring life back to that building?
April 19, 201015 yr Reminds me of my travels with Coldayman and Jose :) I love Pittsburgh. Downtown is so dense; some of the streets are unbelievably narrow.
April 19, 201015 yr Now I want to do a PA road trip thanks to you! haha :-D such a beautiful state. I wish I had more time to explore it.
