Here are some nature photos from Toledo's suburbs and resort area. Devil's Lake in Addison, Michigan is a big resort area for people from Toledo and Ann Arbor. It's northwest of Adrian and not too far from Jackson and the classic All-Star Dairy. All the fireworks pictures are from Devil's Lake.

I thought these ducks by the Maumee River were cute

The Maumee River gets very low in Maumee and Monclova during the summer, allowing one to walk to the Audobon Islands at Sidecut metropark. These islands are almost Jurrassic Park like. The level of noise the animals create is incredible. The middle of the main island is a large grass meadow filled with snakes, deer, rabbits, and lots of birds. There were over 30 deer here and 3 people when I took this picture. The West Side of the island is a steamy jungle with prehistoric-sized grape vines common in the Toledo area. The East Side has sand and pebble beaches. There was a group of about 20 junior-high aged kids smoking weed when I arrived at the beach.

This is the Audobon Islands' pebble beach. The new Maumee-Perrysburg bridge is visible in the distance.

The Audubon Islands sound/look pretty interesting. Nice photos!

I miss using film, actually.  It was very fun to experiment.

What's the story behind Devil's Lake?

I like the last one.  Are these film?  Do you process your own photos?

Fantastic.  I like how the fireworks shots turned out!
