Okay so in Atlanta salon services are CHEAP!  There is no difference between an $18 spa pedicure and $30.  In fact, you can't find one that expensive.  So, I can't seem to find a salon that is under $30.  Even the hole in the wall places.  Does anyone know of a place I can go where is is around $20????

Try calling NY Nails (it is either in Lyndhurst or Richmond Hts).  That is where my wife goes and I HOPE she is not paying more than $20 ;)

Ha!  Just called it is $30 but commend your wife for finding the cheapest place in the city!  I think I might just open a salon and charge Atlanta prices.  I swear I would be busy everyday!

If you do, let me know!  I will patronize you!  Manis and Pedis (and tanning!) are too darn expensive in this city!

Yes, I actually called the NY Salon and the guy was so funny he said sorry but this is Ohio and I am the cheapest in the city.  I hate it that I can't get it every other week like I did in Atlanta.  I do overspend for the brows.  Mine cost $15 and I used to pay $8.  I just don't understand why the cost of living is so much more here!

Not on the E side!  If you come to the dark side, I mean the W side, you can get one for $11.

You tan?  Are we going to have to change your name to DocSnooky?

Really?  I might just do that.  Ha ha..darkside:)  That is so funny.  Reminds me of the OTP (outside the perimeter) and ITP (inside the perimeter) in Atlanta.  Nothing bad about either just personal preference.  I go to the Westside at least 2 times a week after my shots;)

Regency beauty school in N Olmsted on Lorain.  Haircuts are like $9.  Mani or pedi is $11.  It's in the plaza next to Babies R Us, across from Famous Dave's/Chipotle.

If that's the case, there's a Regency school in Willoughby too. It's in the plaza on the Northeast corner of Rte 91 and Rte 20.

Oh, god no.  It's just that being a graduate student, I don't have much time to spend outside in the summer, so if I do go on vacation I burn like a motherf*cker now (which having Mediterranean skin I NEVER used to), and if I don't go on vacation, I'd still like a little color so I'm not a whitey!  We're not talking super turbo plus beds that make you orange here - just enough to look like I'm not dead!

I'm checking.  I can't imagine docbroc all orange & greasy and waving your manicured combat nails around.  LOL

But I know what you mean about color.  I'm trying to hold on to my PR tan from three weeks ago.  I hate being light.

How can a doctor go tanning! There's just something wrong about that. :)

I know, right?!

Cause doctabroccoli doesn't want to be doctacauliflower?

I think a lot of people tan up here though.  I was at the store yesterday and I was shocked at how dark people are already.

Really?  I had not clue tanning was that popular.  Why do you people want to ruin your skin tanning?  ick!

Tanning is hugely popular in Cleveland. But then again, so is smoking. We lag behind the rest of the country in appaling ways.

Eww, cauliflower is gross, haha.  In high school I used to go to the bottom-of-the line bed once a week just to look like I'd spent a little time outside.  I didn't get orange until I was in El Salvador with a strict dress code, and then had to attend prom a month after getting back, so I had to tan in super turbo beds like three times a week to get rid of the tan lines.  At that point I guess I did look like Snooky!  Anyway, my point being that it used to cost me like $6 for a once a week tan - I gave that up after maybe my first year of college because it was at least twice that much here.  I'm Sicilian - we love our sunshine!

I love the sun as well, but I hate tan lines.

OK, that's enough talk about no tan lines. Remember I'm the lonely single guy around here with the active imagination. cool2.gif
