April 20, 201015 yr A little rough around the edges. I need to get down there to check out the Pennsy RR C&M Branch tunnel south of the city...
April 20, 201015 yr It looks like it might have been a visually interesting place with some charm, once. Not recently, though.
April 20, 201015 yr I was picturing a town square with a statue of this guy facing Ann Arbor... or a pitcher's mound with a Cy Young statue at least.

April 20, 201015 yr Sad. When it comes to economic development I wish Ohio was more like Texas. Our small towns, the countryside, etc. are so much prettier.
April 20, 201015 yr Sad. When it comes to economic development I wish Ohio was more like Texas. Our small towns, the countryside, etc. are so much prettier. I agree that our countryside is prettier, but our small towns, well, are lacking IMHO. I have been to Newcomerstown for work, last week actually, and it reminds me of so many small towns east of Columbus and SE of Cleveland. Very depressed, distressed and consist of building beyond repair. Every small town along the Ohio River also just seems so depressed. It seems like every small town not within a commutting pattern of a large metro within Oho is hanging on by a thread, and I wish that wasn't so. I will say, in NW Ohio, the small farming towns always seem to be a bit more intact.
April 20, 201015 yr Newgonerstown? That 2nd story porch is nowhere near straight; are you even allowed to stand on it? This is much better than a couple requests of uncovered towns I made as a joke, which I thought was obvious. Oops. I have a rather good one up my sleeve and I'm going to try to get it before Ink does, though at this rate he'll have covered it and several others.
